Story
We`d like to introduce - Olivia! This gorgeous girl is looking for a calm, supportive home where she can truly shine. Olivia is a big fan of sniffywalks and is a quick study when it comes to trainingshe loves to learn! While she may be a bit shy at first, she warms up with time and patience. She`ll thrive with an adopter who will take the time to get to know her andadvocate for her needs. Olivia prefers not to interact with strange dogsand would do best as the only dog in the home. However, with a thoughtfulintroduction, she might do well with a dog-savvy cat.Older kids who can read dog body language, practice petting consent, andenjoy participating in training could be a fit for Olivia. Shes ready toblossom in a home that understands her and gives her space to decompress ather own pace.Stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center to meet Olivia. We have openadoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm- 4:30pm - no appointment needed tospeak to a staff person regarding available pets. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs inour care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interestedadopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s)they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopterswill be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animalareas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Hello, I'm Lisa! You know, I was once on a daring mission to find the world's most delicious bone. I sniffed out a trail that led me to a strange building, a 'grocery store', they called it. I trotted in, tail wagging, nose twitching. Oh, the smells! But before I could locate the bone, a nice lady in a uniform escorted me out and brought me here. They don't have that bone, but there's plenty of belly rubs and chew toys. I've learned my lesson: no more bone hunts without a human sidekick. So, how about it? Want to join me on my next adventure?

Story
We are so excited to show the world this exceptionally happy and handsome German Shepherd boy that everyone loves instantly upon meeting him.  There are just some dogs draw you in make you want to hug them and reassure them and spend more time around them.  This boy is named Maverick and he is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds with a need to probably be a good 75 pounds or more. His past is actually unknown, except that he was astray that came into a shelter in Middle, Tennessee and Critter Cavalry Rescue soon learned about his incarceration.  You can see in the pictures that his eyes look a little runny, and they are because they have some problems that are being medicated now.  Soon they will clear up and soon there will be good healthy weight put on this boy and he will be ready for a new start that he most certainly deserves in life. Maverick is great with meeting new people and new dogs.  He seems to be housebroken and is able to be crated, but prefers not to if you'll allow that.   He is the typical Shepherd energy, where he moves about checking things out and with curiosity.  He is quite obedient and smart.  He was a dream dog while the vet poked and prodded in inspected teeth and ears and drew blood.  He was at ease at the vet's office when entering the lobby and being in a place with lots of dog smells.  Maverick is a strong boy, both in physical strength and interpersonal acceptance of what events come his way.   He has show great trust in new people as he was transferred. from multiple cars and meeting different people who were helping transport him to his foster home with Critter Cavalry.  He meets strangers with a friendly smile and a seemingly awareness that they just want to help him.  He readily jumps up into a new car when asked to do so, which proves he has no hip issues or movement problems whatsoever for such a big boy.  He is handsome now, but soon very soon, he will be stunning once his coat improves with good food and grooming.  This boy enjoys being brushed and will be fun to do as you watch the loving results of your effort produce even more good looks.  Maverick is easy to love and he will readily love you back.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you want to know more or to receive an application for adoption.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 27, 2025, 7:54 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Mars. I'm not a planet, but I am out of this world sweet. I've got a heart as big as the universe and a spirit as bright as the stars. I love cuddling, and I'm always up for a good belly rub. My tail wags like a comet's tail when I see my favorite humans. I love playing fetch, but sometimes, I'd rather just sit by your side and keep you company. I'm good with kids and other pets, too. I'm a simple dog with a lot of love to give. Adopt me, and I promise to be your loyal companion, to love you unconditionally, and to always make your day brighter. I'm Mars, and I'm ready to orbit around your world.
