[DogName] is a COURTESY LISTING available for private adoption -- for more information, please contact the owner listed below. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA. Stannis is a 116lb Male neutered full-blooded German Shepherd. He has always done well with my female dog, but has never been around other males. He grew up around cats, so he tends to do well with them. Though he is an extremely large dog he believes hes a 10lb lap dog, and has always been an inside dog. [DogName] is a COURTESY LISTING available for private adoption -- for more information, please contact the owner listed below. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA. Ace is a very loving 7 year old GSD. he know many commands and listens well when training. He does have severe anxiety which leads to less desirable behaviors, like excessive barking, digging and inability to relax. He was hit by a car about 6 months ago he has made very good recovery with only having a broken tail bone no long term needs related to that at this point. Story
Greetings world My name is Luna. I am a happy and energetic young girl of about seven months old. I am looking for a family of my very own. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and see if you think we might be a match.I am a petite girl. My foster mom thinks that I am a mix. Most likely I am a German Shepherd/border collie mix. I have a beautiful gray face with fluffy ears I have wavy blonde and brown fur on my body. I am currently 37 pounds and will probably be about 50 pounds when I finish maturing. So a perfect size for someone wanting a more compact companion! My foster mom says that I am super super smart! I think that's a compliment! I am a very intense dog and I bond very quickly with my person. I am very fast very athletic and very focused. Foster mom says I need a job! When we are out in the yard I will run around and then I will run up and either do a leap by my foster mom or I will come to a sliding stop and just look at her for direction.I am extremely food motivated and will sell my soul or do any trick you want to try to teach me for some treats. I take treats gently which is a good thing. I love to play ball and I love to just engage with my foster mom. I will sit on command and stare intently waiting for further direction. I also know how to give the paw! I sometimes utilize this skill to try to encourage my foster mom to give me an extra treat from her a little snack bag that she carries around.I have several furry foster siblings that I get to interact with and play with. I love a good game of chase (I am super fast and I can dodge and weave with the best and I can also utilize my leapfrog skills. If someone trips in front of me I just go vertical and hurdle right over them). I'm also up for the little rough and tumble play as a few of my housemates like to play tag/tackle as well. It's all good. I am perfectly happy with that. I'm actually a fairly submissive player.I do have consider a prey drive so I will need a home with a dog at least my size or bigger. No small dogs. No felines. (Foster mom is unsure on fish; they move around quickly. They might also get my attention. ). I also need a home without chickens. There are currently chickens at my foster home and I am trying my best to parkour off the fence to see if I can get it to give. I would love a home with an individual or a couple that would like to work with me on agility or some other sport where I could demonstrate my superior skill sets. I am so eager to learn and I am so athletic. What do you expect when you have a working line dog/herding dog combination? I would also love someone who just wants to run! I have tons of energy and I would love to be a jogging partner! My foster mom says that I need to go to a home without children under the age of 15. I am a super excited dog and I get a little nippy. It's just an energy outlet but my foster mom says that it's not a good combination to have around young children. Well I've tried to describe a lot of my personality traits and hopefully I have peaked your interest if you're looking for a fun loving devoted friend. Please come and meet me soon. Best wishes Luna Please visit our website www.gsdrescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Beren was adopted in Boise, ID. He turns one year on Dec. 17th. Beren has an unconditional loving and loyal temperament. His personality is funny and precious. He's always happy, curious, and looking for attention. He has never been aggressive. He's never tampered with my personal belongings or the homes we've lived in. He knows his toys and sticks to them. (The trick is to keep them in a box) Known commands: sit, down, roll over, up, sit-pretty, paw, switch, middle, speak, heel, eyes, wait/ stay, fetch("ball"), come. He is high energy and will need someone that can walk him, play fetch with him, and give him generous amounts of affection and company. He walks well is joyous company to be around. It isn't recommended for his breed to be neutered until 15months old. Until then I'd keep him away from boy dogs. He is crate trained/ eats in his crate, but can also be left alone in a room for 4-6 hours. I want him to be loved and have a happy and fulfilled life.
