They tend to be very people-oriented, enjoy having a purpose, and thrive with both mental and physical stimulation. Nola reflects the best of both breeds—smart and capable, yet affectionate, gentle, and deeply connected to her people. Nola’s Story & Personality: Nola is a loving, sensitive girl who bonds closely with her people. While she can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly with gentle reassurance and kind guidance. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality truly shines—she loves to be loved on, seeks closeness, and enjoys both playtime and downtime. She prefers female energy and would love to find a home where she can be a true "girl's girl". She can be fine with men, but prefers being around women. She’s mostly leash trained and enjoys going on walks, but she also appreciates a cozy couch session afterward. Nola is very smart and eager to learn, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys interacting and engaging with their dog. Because she can jump a 4-foot fence, a secure 5-foot or taller fenced yard is important so she can safely run, explore, and burn off energy. With the right setup, Nola will thrive as a happy, balanced companion. Nola’s Ideal Home: A home with a secure fenced yard (5 ft or taller) where she can safely run A family or individual who enjoys both walks and relaxed cuddle time Someone patient and reassuring who will help her continue building confidence (she thrives on female energy!) A home that values affection, connection, and gentle guidance Other pets are welcome—she does well with dogs and cats Ready to Give Nola the Love She Deserves? Nola is a beautiful blend of intelligence, gentleness, and affection. Story
Beckham is a three-year-old, 55-pound, German Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur Mix. FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED. Beckham is 3-year-old German Shepherd and Blackmouth Cur who weighs 55 pounds. If football icon David Beckham had a dog, we’re pretty sure he’d be a lot like our Beckham. With his classic British name, his ruggedly handsome face and those ever- alert ears, Beckham is an up-for-every-adventure kind of boy. Like his soccer-legend namesake, Beckham just naturally draws a crowd of admirers. Affectionate, playful, brave, and loyal, this smart boy is always ready for a game of ball, a good walk, a spin in the car or just a snuggle on the couch. With so much goodness in his nature, you might ask, “What is Beckham best at?” The answer is simple: Beckham is best at being your Best Friend! And while Beckham can be perfectly content with just you, he will also thrive with an active family, a big, fenced yard and (if it’s not too much to ask) a playful lady dog. Trained by one of the best, Beckham is an absolute joy and had excellent house, crate and leash manners, as well as basic commands and overall happy behavior. So, if you’d love a bit of British flair and fun in your life, please don’t wait. Come meet Beckham today. And let the games begin! Beckham is not part of CrisisDogsNC. This is a courtesy posting on behalf of his foster. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.March 7, 2026, 9:26 am

Story
Breed: German Shepherd Age: 5 Weight: Approx 70 lbs No chronic health concerns, crate trained, good in the car, knows basic commands Astryn is an extremely smart, energetic German Shepherd who thrives with structure and engagement. She adores any treat and will bring you every toy she has to play. She is very sweet to people that she knows. She does have some behavioral challenges and is aggressive toward strangers or unfamiliar visitors that enter her home, so she would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands the breed and is comfortable working with protective or reactive dogs. She is typically friendly towards other large dogs, but we've never owned another pet, so we're not sure how she would do long-term. She has never been around cats or other animals other than dogs. She has interacted well with our toddler, but has no other experience with children.

Story
We adopted Hope in October 2025, when we were living in Cary, North Carolina. In February 2026, we moved to Apex, and landlord made it a condition of the lease that no large pets are allowed in the property. Because of this housing restriction, we are no longer able to keep her in our home9196656130This is a very difficult situation for our family. When we took Hope in, she was in very poor condition. She had visible scars on her neck, had recently undergone an amputation surgery, and was severely underweight. Since then, we have cared for her with a great deal of love and dedication. Today, she is beautiful, strong, healthy, and playful. She is currently 1 year and 8 months old, and over these past months she has received a great deal of affection and care from our family.Hope is a female, approximately 1 year and 8 months old. She is a German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois mix. She is spayed and fully up to date on her vaccinations, and we have her veterinary records available9196656130

Story
Athena is a 7-year-old German ShepherLabrador mix with the sweetest, most gentle personality. She loves people of all ages, gets along great with other pets, and her absolute favorite thing in the world is playing with her orange ball. She is potty trained, calm, and very well-behaved—she doesn’t chew or destroy things. Athena truly thrives in a quiet, loving home where she can simply be someone’s loyal companion. We are a military family with an unpredictable schedule and living situation, and with heavy hearts we know Athena deserves a stable home where she can enjoy her golden years. Athena was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, so her back legs are a bit underdeveloped, but it doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. She loves gentle walks around the neighborhood and is happiest snuggled on the couch watching TV with her humans. If you’re looking for a sweet, relaxed companion, Athena might be the perfect match. Our biggest wish is to find her a loving home where she will be cherished
