This sweet girl melts every time you kiss or cuddle her. She immediately flops down on her back for belly rubs so she can maximize the affection! How adorable is that?! She is a sucker for cuddlers. Kennedy is content to just chill and hang out with you and be the neighborhood watchers. Now, she will bark if she feels people are coming too close into her space. Just a ‘hey, what do you think you’re doing’ bark. She does the same if she is out in the yard and she senses intrusions like a bird flying over and some strong smells. Nothing ‘aggressive’, just her German Shepherd genes coming on display. Alert bark, if you will. Out on a walk, Kennedy walks wonderfully. She may pull initially from excitement, but as the walk progresses, she eases into a nice, comfortable walk. She stops when you stop walking. She pays attention to what you stopped for and follows suit. She sits beside you and waits for you to do what you stopped to do. Here and during her walks, Kennedy stays alert to her surroundings. A little reassurance from you and she will relax😊 Kennedy is wonderful with dogs. She is friendly with just about any dog, any size. If you are a fan of outdoor patio dining, Kennedy is amazing. She is also wonderful in a large crowd, festival style gathering. And oh, she loves car rides! Kennedy is 7 months old, 60lb Shepsky. She is looking for a family where hugs and cuddles are abundant 😊A family with older children who will engage with her or involve her in their activities would be wonderful. A playful family pup is a plus! A fenced yard is preferred.

Hello all - we are looking to rehome our boy Apollo. It is devastating as he has been apart of our family since he was 12 weeks old, however with our family growing we found ourselves not being able to dedicate the right amount of time and devotion he needs. Apollo is now 5 years old, AKC registered, UTD on his vaccines, and is neutered. We are located in Brunswick. Apollo has done well with our other shepherd and other medium/large dogs, as well as our baby, now toddler. He has completed a board and train class and he does well overall on leash. He is also crate trained and loves his “den”, but we don’t use the crate often. Apollo loves to chase rabbits or squirrels, so conditioning for small animals will be necessary. An ideal home for Apollo would be someone devoted to giving him the support and attention he needs to continue thriving in the world. He’s loving, loyal, and always up for an adventure. Apollo is an amazing pup and will make the right family very happy.

A few weeks ago we were thrown out like trash, literally. Our owner drove us miles from home & tossed out in the countryside then drove away 💔A nice lady found us & has been caring for us. She reached out to the rescue in hopes to find us new homes, ones that actually love us. We are a diamond in the rough type of pair (thought we are NOT bonded & do NOT need to be adopted together)💎We are both vetted, Hopper is however being treated for heartworms. We LOVE people, we’re great with kids (8+ years old have been tested) & other uh dogs. Onyx has even been around cats without issue. We love being outside ☀️our foster calls her sweet angels 👼 We have no issues with food, Hopper does eat wet food cause being older the kibble hurts his teeth a little 🦷🪥😬 We really want to find a new home, one that loves us & takes care of us. Hi! I’m Wren ♥️ Let me tell you my story 📚 I used to have a friend named Winnie 😔 Out on the streets, it was always me and her together. We slept curled up against each other at night because it was cold and scary, and we only had each other. She was sicker than I understood, but I stayed close anyway. She was my safety, my family, my whole world 🌎 People finally tried to help us. They fought for Winnie 😔 They rushed her to emergency care and hoped maybe love had found us in time. But sometimes life is cruel to dogs who have been forgotten for too long, and Winnie didn’t make it. She did get to experience six days of a warm home and love 🥹 I don’t really understand where she went. I just know one minute she was beside me, and then suddenly I was alone 😔 After Winnie died, I ended up at the shelter. Loud noises, strange people, and so many barking dogs, I was terrified. I kept waiting for her to come back for me, but she never did 💔 That’s when they decided to save me too. They named me Wren, but the truth is I think I’m here because people saw how much Winnie mattered. They didn’t want her story to end with both of us being lost. So in honor of her, they tagged me and promised my life would mean something too 🥹 I’m safe now. I am fully vetted, I am fed, I am warm. But I’m still learning how to stop being afraid all the time 🥺 I’m very shy when I meet new people. I want to trust you, I really do, but the world hasn’t always been kind to me. Sometimes I hang back and just watch quietly, trying to figure out if I’m safe. But if you are patient with me, something soft begins to happen. I’ll start following you from room to room. I’ll lie nearby just because being close to you feels nice. I’ll look at you with my whole heart once I realize you aren’t going to hurt me. I like other dogs. They make me feel calmer. I’m gentle, quiet, and honestly just looking for a place where nobody expects me to be perfect right away ♥ I know I’m not the easiest dog in the world 😔 I may not run into your arms the first day we meet. I may need time to learn what love feels like when it’s safe and permanent. But I promise once I trust you, I will love you in the quietest, deepest way. I survived the streets. I survived losing Winnie. Now I’m just hoping there’s someone out there who will choose me 🥹 Not because they pity me, but because they see me.
