Story
Finnegan is a 65 lb. 1 yr. old German Shepherd/Hound Mix. Very playful and energetic. He is very intelligent and went through obedience training through Sit Means Sit. He knows basic commands like sit, place, come, off, and gives paw. He is house broken and crate trained. Does well on a leash. Up to date on all shots/exam. Is on heart worm and flea/tick prevention medication. He is a bit too large and energetic for my older mother. He would do well with a younger active family with children who would be able to provide him the attention and activity he needs. He is the only dog in the house but may do well with other dogs that are smaller or similar size as him. He is intimidated by larger dogs. Will provide his food, toys, bed, and blanket. Would be willing to provide crate as well for $50.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Zorro is a 5 year-old Shepherd/Lab mix neutered male who’s eager to find a new person to love. He might be happiest living with a single person as he forms very strong attachments to his person. Although he didn’t want to show off for the camera, one of the most endearing things about Zorro is that he always likes to have a toy or tennis ball in his mouth. If a toy is not available, he’ll pick up his food bowl and greet with you with that! Zorro knows some commands including sit and shake hands. He walks very nicely on a leash, does his business quickly outside, and is good in his crate. Zorro is fine with other dogs but truly loves his people most. Prior to coming to us, he had an injury to his right eye which has caused cloudiness and loss of vision. This handsome guy with the sweet smile is waiting for that special someone to welcome him home! Zorro weighs about 45-50 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Zorro. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Zorro and to submit an online application.June 2, 2023, 12:50 pm

North Ridgeville, OH
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Anibus was given up by his family due to severe allergies. He is very high energy and very loving. He never got the chance to learn about the world so he is very shy but with encouragement and a treat, he is more than happy to explore new things! He is also very smart, but you do have to be willing to out stubborn him! He currently has learned to sit and a short stay, as well as wait and to gently take treats. He knows how to come, does well on and off leash, and is also crate trained. He gets along very well with other dogs, but is still learning to doggy etiquette. His favorite game is wrestling ad hr is still learning how to play with toys. He does very well with kids 10+, but does like to jump so younger kids wouldn't be a good fit. He hasn't been tested with cats, bit his old home had bunnies and he did wonderfully with them.

Story
Affectionate, sweet, gentle, good natured, a good listener, follows commands. This about sums up Claire’s personality. She can be quite shy at initials meets, but if you have treats on you, she will change her tune and greet you with some excitement 😊 Once she has her fill of exercise and stimulation, she is content to just cuddle with you. Pets and belly rubs while she lay beside you will make her very happy. Young and of 2 active breeds, Claire will need her daily doses of exercise and stimulation. She can keep up on hikes, runs and walks. When walking, Claire tends to keep her nose low to the ground. She puts her hound nose to good use! She has no ball drive but loves tug games for short periods. She loves chew toys. Intelligent, Claire welcomes training. She catches on tricks right away and boy, does she love her training sessions! When out and about, keep a good grip on the leash. Claire loves to chase anything that moves. Small creatures, even shadows of birds as they fly above. She barks to announce that small creatures are here to cause havoc! If Claire smells these creatures underground, she will dig to get to them! Claire barks in a mixture of excitement and 'hey, who are you' when she sees a dog on a walk. Off leash in enclosed areas, she solicits plays with dogs. Claire is a 2-year-old, 55lbs Shepherd Hound mix. She is housebroken and crate trained. Claire is looking for an active home that can provide her with lots of stimulation and exercise. Claire prefers a home with older kids. Another note, Claire doesn’t do well in long car rides :/

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ingrid is a young German Shepherd who was picked up as a stray, pregnant. No family came to claim her so Multiple Breed Rescue took her from the shelter she was in so that should could have her babies somewhere safe. Ingrid gave birth to her puppies on April 13. Once they are weaned, she will be ready to go to her forever home. Ingrid is around a year old and weighs around 65 pounds, though most likely still has some growing to do. Ingrid is very playful and silly. She loves to run around with toys in her mouth, and mouths at hands and feet to get humans to interact in play with her. She has done great meeting other dogs and would probably be good with cats. Ingrid is most likely house trained; she keeps her crate (with her babies in it) clean. As she is a young GSD, she will need an active family who is committed to continuing good manners training. German Shepherds thrive with strong leadership and often enjoy having jobs or tasks to do. If you can provide Ingrid with the mental and physical stimulation she deserves, please complete an application today. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 1 year Adoption fee: $500
