Meet Donnelly! Donnelly was found in Alvarado as a stray with his litter. He did not have much human interaction until he was around 3 months old so he is still working on learning to trust humans. Now at 1 year old he has started to learn that humans can be kind. Though he is scared at first when approached by humans and he will growl a little to let you know, but no aggression. If ignored, he comes right up to you and will sniff and licks your hand then he`s your friend for life and will follow you around. He is more confident when with his fellow dogs. He plays well with other dogs. He`s playful with his toys. He loves to snuggle under blankets. Knows sit and gentle when taking a treat. Still has some leash training to do. He is still timid so the leash has been a struggle for him learning how to walk with it. He`d prefer to walk between your legs where he feels safe in new environments. She is equally happy hiking for several miles or curling up on the couch for a Netflix marathon. Sun is the perfect size because she is big enough to walk with you as far as you want to go and jump in the car by herself, but she won`t take up too much of the couch or bed. She likes to run and play with other dogs once she gets to know them, but it takes her a couple of days to warm up to new dogs. She is submissive. Sun loves the water and playing outside. Meet Orion! Orion is a 2 year old pup who loves to have fun. His playtime antics often are the cause of much laughter for his foster family. He enjoys entertaining himself with a variety of toys and also loves playtime with other dogs in the household. He is a good guardian as he always alerts us when one of his doggie friends is left outside alone. He is high energy in the morning but after a brief time of play calms right down. He is crate trained although it’s not his favorite place to be. He is usually allowed to be left out of kennel when home alone and does well. He is mostly house trained but does still have accidents from time to time although it does continue to improve. He has not been around cats or very small children.
