Hi, my name is D'Artagnan. I am one timid yet sweet boy who is still learning the ropes of being a dog. Given my age, I have a couple of things I would like to work on before hitting adulthood. So far I have on my golden star list is that I do well on my walks, getting acquainted with a harness and leash along with easing in during social interactions with both dogs and people. I could see myself having an older brother or sister show me the ways of being a house dog. If not, I think a single person or a small family can work out too--just make sure to have plenty of treats when introducing people to me. Before you know it, I will be laying down begging for belly rubs for you in no time!I am microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. In addition, I receive monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is FREE due to a very generous donor sponsoring my fee! Please feel free to visit me anytime during the shelter's hours Monday through Friday 11am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Meet Ellabella, a beautiful one year old, 40ish lb German Shepherd mix. Shepherds are smart, sensitive, loyal dogs and do not fare well in a shelter environment. Ella was scheduled to be euthanized, so one of our awesome foster families took her home. Foster mom says Ellabella is a Doll Baby! She is a little shy at first, but once she knows she is safe and secure, she will be your most devoted friend. She loves her people and will gently lay her head on their lap, hoping for a little attention. Ellabella is still just a puppy, so she will need lots of playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation. She is so smart, she is sure to excel in most any type of training. She gets along fine with the other dogs in her foster home. She does very well with the older kids in her house. Ellabella needs a home where her new people will be patient with her while she settles in and transitions to her forever home.
