Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** The month of November was a lucky time for this pup, hence her name. November was found on the streets and taken in by a kind resident of the area until she arrived in our care. The change in environment left her uncertain and confused, but she’s learning to trust more and more each day. November has the beautiful coat pattern of a German Shepherd and the clever personality to match. She’s quite intelligent and enjoys being challenged with a food wobbler or a snuffle mat full of treats. November would do best with someone patient and understanding of her need for comfort and predictability. Of course, don’t forget to mix in some tricks and games for her as well! Are you willing to help November find the comfort she’s been craving? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
Meet baby girl Chasee!  She is about 6 months-old and oh so smart.  She is house trained and understands basic commands.  She loves all of the BIG dogs in her foster home.  From day one, she has slept free in the home and for very short periods of time is left inside, uncrated when the foster is out on her property mowing and such.  She is NOT a fan of the crate.  For whatever reason, it has a bad vibe for this baby.  Were it not for 4 very large German Shepherds in the home, the foster would have no problem leaving her out.  However, she has recently been spayed and we don't want her to get hurt while playing with the big dogs, which is her favorite thing.  She does not appear to have been abused but severely neglected. She is a bit underweight but we are working on that. Thankfully, she is young and found her way to some amazing folks who made it a group effort to save her. Her little neck has areas where it appears a collar may have been too tight as the hair is missing.  It is only visibile when you are rubbing her sweet little body.  The primary family who was caring for her had a little boy who named her Chase for the Paw Patrol German Shepherd.  She quickly became Chasee when he was told she was a little girl. She is truly a very happy and well-round puppy.  She would love a home with a playmate.  Her favoritve thing to do is a steal a toy from a retired K-9 and then have him chase her around the house.  She also loves to jump up and put her paws around his neck.  It's the sweetest and funniest thing to watch. All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites. All incoming dogs receive Drontal Plus de-wormer or its equivalent as an extra precautionary step to go above and beyond to keep our rescued dogs healthy. We feed our rescue dogs high quality dog food and supplements while they live in our foster homes. All these costs are paid for by our rescue. You won’t have to pay for these normal costs or bother with the headaches of having to take your new dog to a vet for all these procedures. We strongly suggest that you complete the adoption application process before choosing a dog from our web page. Most of the dogs on this web page will have approved adopters already looking at them. We get new dogs on a regular basis. The application process can take a couple of weeks depending on your schedule. You will have access to all of our available dogs once you are approved to adopt a rescue dog. Please visit www.luckyshepherds.com for more information. Please note that we only serve the Greater Houston area. We do not adopt our dogs to homes outside of the Houston and its neighboring areas. ##2587552##

Story
Dutchess is about 2-years-old. She is a smart girl and quick learner.  She LOVES to play ball.  She enjoys hanging out with her foster brother and sister.  She will run and play as much as you will let her and if you can keep up with her.  She is a little shy at first.  Once she gets comfy, she is as loyal as the day is long.  She is house-trained and crate-trained as well.  She is great with kiddos big and small. All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites. Story
Gator is approximately 2 years old.  He is a beautiful sable boy.  His temporary family saved him from being left in a rental home when the people just moved out.  His rescuers would have kept him but they were already working and training a service dog for their young boy.  They were not able to keep him.  He is such a good pup.  However, the little boy sure made it very apparent that Gator is a great dog and deserves a little boy or girl of his own.  Gator let the little one lay on him and sleep on him.  Won't you welcome him into your home and give him the life he is so deserving of?   All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites. Story
Max is a sweet and very handsome "older" gebtleman.  He is about 6-years-old, give or take a bit.  This kiddo was living a great life with an elderly woman whose health diminished and she was having to go to an assisted living facility.  There was nobody in the family who felt they could care for him.  Thankfully, her vet knows one of our fosters, so they reached out to us. He is so well-mannered.  He gets along with all 3 of his foster siblings, all German Shepherds, and a foster kitty.  Needless to say, he is house-trained and crate-trained.  However, his foster never puts him in the crate since he is so good.  When she leaves, he is free with the other kiddos.  He sleeps free at night as well.  He is a bit over-weight, but he is slimming down a bit now that he is running around with his foster siblings. He is happy and content to be loved on.  He has settled right in with his new foster family.  He will make a great addition to any family wanting to give this boy a "furever" home. Story
Jack is an amazing boy. He loves to play, has lots of energy and is so smart. He has spent time with a trainer when he was with his previous owner.  Due to some unfortunate life circumstances, he was given back to us.  He had previously been adopted from us back in 2021.  He knows all of the basic commands. He is house and crate trained.  Let me tell you..he is ball driven!  He loves to run and plays well with other dogs. Due to his size and nature, I would not put him in a home with little ones.  He is far too big and very driven to be in a home with no rules.  He needs a strong handler who is firm but he does NOT need to be heavy handed either.  He reponds well to structure and loves to show off how smart he is.  He also loved to be in the pool at his previous home.   All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites.
