Peter Barker was found tied outside the dog park by a Good Samaritan that called the shelter when he went to take his dog out. He waited next to Peter so who was excited to see him and his dog. He is currently the only puppy at the shelter, and unfortunately we are not a great setting for a young puppy like him to grow healthy and happy, so please reach out if you think he is the perfect addition to your family!

7yr old tan M/N shepherd mix Foster notes: Noble is a sensitive guy and he seems to be more comfortable around women than men for now. He loves being near his person & follows me all day around the house. He may resource guard his bed. He bit my husband the first week we had him when he tried to pet him when he was on his bed. I have since kept him apart from my husband and he has not shown any signs of aggression for a while and he has even wagged his tail at my husband. I would still err on the side of caution with new people and men with his bed. Any iffy situation I have him leashed and muzzled or on the other side of a baby gate. When people come over or in crowded places I let him wear a comfortable muzzle. It makes me more comfortable and it keeps him out of trouble. He has walked in very crowded places in close quarters wearing a muzzle and has not shown any signs of aggression. I feel that if there is any aggression it could be territorial or fearful aggression because I have only seen him do it at home. I don’t know how he is around children but I think it would be a safer bet to say no kids. He is potty trained. He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. I have two pit bulls and a chihuahua and he hangs out with them all day long. He is obsessed with playing fetch. He will drop the ball in front of you while you are cooking dinner. Once he thinks you are his person, you could not find a more loyal and loving campanion. He has decompressed a lot in the short time he has lived with me and he will be even better with time in a loving and patient home. His ideal owner would be someone who is willing to take it slow with him and let him open up on his own terms, someone with a lot of dog experience, who is home a lot, a woman. Also he came to me with itchy skin and I have been giving him fresh food and it has cleared everything up. So a dream home would provide that for him too otherwise I think he might have allergies. Also Noble is very athletic. If someone wants a jogging partner, he would be up for it. ##2632401##

Piper A593412 Frequently Sought Interacting With Handlers By Approaching, Lying Down, And Accepting Chest Rubs While Maintaining Relaxed Body Posture. When Called, Piper A593412 Readily Approached Handlers And Responded To The Cue Sit. Piper A593412 Remained Engaged With People Throughout The Session, Accepted Handling Without Resistance, And Recovered Easily As Staff Moved Around The Play Yard. Socialwith people, a bit on the shy side. Was in dogplaygroup, did well, was neutral and able to becoexist nicely with a group of 8+ dogs in theyard! He was surrendered to the shelter by his owner just over 11 days ago and as his world turned upside down, Rocky fell apart. After his owner handed him over, Rocky started barking and growling in his receiving kennel. He had to be catchpoled for vaccines and to be moved into his new kennel His very understandable reaction to losing everything he loved and being in a new, scary place earned him the notes “staff only.” This is not the Rocky we met yesterday. Rocky came out of his kennel with ease and walked amazing on leash! He was a little shy at first and remained pretty mellow for our whole interaction. He did warm up and become more affectionate as time progressed. Per his owner, Rocky is friendly with all people INCLUDING CHILDREN!! He is not good with cats. They also say that Rocky is destructive when left outside alone, but judging by the flystrike on his ears, he was outside alone a LOT. They say he needs training and has no manners, but I didn’t see any evidence of that. He was a very good boy! Rocky was in a large playgroup with other dogs, including a dog who is about 30 pounds. He was easygoing, tolerant, and neutral. He did run with the dogs for a little bit but mostly just wanted to hang out. ##2784532##

His focus was mostly on his handler and on wanting attention from him. He is very sweet and really just wants a person to be close The fact that Dozer loves people so much makes his story even more heartbreaking. Dozer and his non-biological Cane Corso brother Rover were abandoned on a property after their owners moved out of their home. They told the neighbors they were coming back for them but never did. A neighbor fed them for a while but eventually the boys were trapped and brought in. ##2715742##
