Story
Blue Thor is a 2 year old, 67 lbs, German Shepherd/Husky mix found dumped with his sister Honey. He has piercing blue eyes and a soft coat. Don’t let his serious looks fool you, he’s a friendly boy! He’s currently working on leash training and has been friendly with adults, but at times he gets nervous with men. Blue Thor is working on socialization with dogs, but he is still rather fear responsive when meeting other males. He has made progress with socializing with my male dog Dexter, but it has taken a good 4 months to help him settle in with Dexter, there have been some rough spots with aggression where I had to separate them, but this has been gradually improving. Thor will need an experienced pet owner educated with training. He would be good with other female dogs as he has not shown aggression with females. Blue Thor is partial to women since it has been women that have been leaving food and water for him for months. Be patient and go slow with men. He has become friends with my daughter's boyfriend and did not take very long. He is very smart and wants to please me, but done not know how to do that yet. He loves to play with his toys, go for walks. He is doing great with the gentle lead and is now walking with a much less pull on the leash. He has been great with children he’s met at events so far, but no cats at this time since he wants to chase them. To adopt Blue Thor, please apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

Story
Daisy B is a 1 year old, 39 lbs, German Shepherd mix. Daisy B was the only surviving puppy from her litter. Mom and Dad were discovered near a hospital in a wooded area with this one little puppy. After a volunteer finally earned their trust, she was able to trap them and bring them to safety. Daisy B has been spayed and microchipped, she is also up-to-date on all her vaccines. Having had no human contact for the first few months of her life, Daisy B is extremely shy when she first meets you. It will take some time and patience to allow her to come out of her shell. As shy as she is, she has never shown any aggression towards humans nor animals. She is perfectly content in her kennel. She loves balls and is curious about toys. Daisy B is so quiet, and only has the occasional whine when she needs to go outside. Daisey B would greatly benefit from a confident and playful dog in the home. She would love nothing more than a playmate to teach her that humans aren't all so bad after all. For any questions about Daisy B or to fill out an adoption application, please apply at www.HTXdogRescue.org

Story
Ghost is the sweetest pup you'll ever meet! He's a 2-3 year old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing now at about 45 lbs. Ghost was a stray found sitting on a friend's doorstep. He had been sitting there for a few days before I decided to pick him up and bring him home. At the time, he was very skinny and nervous to come close to me or get in the car. Since then, he has opened up and became an energetic, but chill dog. Ghost loves playing with his foster sister and going on walks. He's been good with kids and will say hello to any dog if given the chance. Ghost's dream home would include a backyard to run around in, or an active owner who would take him on long walks to burn off some of that energy. He is potty trained and has learned some basic commands. He's been working on leash and crate training and has made lots of improvement. If you believe you are that forever home he is looking for, please let me, his foster mom, know by applying at www.htxdogrescue.org.

Story
🐾 Loving Home Needed for King – Our Sweet German Shepherd/Lab Mix 🐾 With a heavy heart, we are looking to rehome our beloved dog, King. He is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Labrador mix who has been a loyal and gentle part of our family since he was a pup. King is: •House-trained and crate-trained •Neutered and up to date on vaccinations •Great with other dogs, both big and small •Wonderful with kids – he’s been a loving companion to our daughter since she was born •Healthy with no allergies or special dietary needs •Has no known fears or anxieties He hasn’t been around cats, so we’re unsure how he would react, but he has a calm, friendly temperament overall. We’re rehoming King due to lifestyle changes and circumstances, and this decision has been incredibly difficult. We are not asking for a rehoming fee—just that he goes to a safe, caring home where he’ll be loved. We’d appreciate occasional photo updates and maybe a visit now and then to see how our boy is doing.
