Story
Pausing applications for now - thank you for your interest!Charizard is a sweet, goofy boy who just wants to be with his people at all times. He was trained to be a service dog, but I have become too sick to take care of him - with the right training and handler, I think he could still be a great service animal for someone. If service work ends up not being his calling, I think he would be a great family dog for an active person or family with older kids (he might be a bit too rambunctious for a home with younger kids). Some things to know about Charizard:-High-energy and affectionate, loves attention and playing fetch in the yard.-Good with dogs but can play a little hard (so maybe not a good fit for small or older dogs). Doesn't react to cats.-Has seasonal allergies but otherwise in great health.-Gets a little separation anxiety and sometimes tries to eat rocks, but nobody's perfect, right?

Story
*Woof* I`m in a foster home! Email my foster caregiver to meet me: foster@xsconsulting.netCrema is just too cute for words. He’s an inquisitive little puppy who has perfected the pleading puppy-dog face — and you’re guaranteed to fall for him the moment you meet him. This smart Retriever mix is ready to go straight to the top of the class with positive training. He wants love, reassurance, and gentle guidance as he grows. Crema is a wee bit bashful right now, but with patience and support, he’s already beginning to bloom. If you’re looking for a fantastic dog and are ready to help him become the best pooch he can be, meet and adopt Crema today. He’s a wonderful pup with so much love to give.

Story
Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match. To learn more about McCoy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We transport from our rescue base in Nashville up the northeastern corridor of states to approved adopters. McCoy is ready to find his forever family — maybe it’s you. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 18, 2026, 5:20 pm

Story
Wallace is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever mix, a bit smaller than the purebred Goldens many people are familiar with. We adopted him three years ago from a home in West Virginia. At that time, he had been on anxiety medication and was surrendered due to concerns about his comfort around a soon-to-arrive baby. When Wallace first joined our family, he was a little nervous and unsure about affection. With time, patience, and a stable environment, he has truly come out of his shell. Today, he has grown into a sweet companion who will happily come over to ask for pets and enjoy being close to his people.Wallace can be vocal at times and will bark, especially when he sees another dog on the street. He doesn’t do well in high-energy environments like dog parks, and for that reason we’ve avoided them. However, he has had positive interactions with other Golden Retrievers and a few carefully selected dogs, showing that with the right match and introductions, he can enjoy canine company.

I'm Archie. My brother Torombolo and I have enjoyed growing up together on sunny Puerto Rico but now we're ready to split up and get our own homes in the DC area. This is what I want: My own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so I can show how super smart I am. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And I want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed too. Most of all, though, I want to know I'm safe and loved. In exchange I promise all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags I'm storing up, and loyal companionship for all my days. What do you say? Can you see me by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
