Story
Penny is almost 5 years old and a goofball who we love dearly, but life has become very stressful for her lately. She’s a Golden Retriever mix and a really smart, loyal girl, but her start as a stray puppy left her with some deep-seated anxiety. Since we’ve had a toddler and now have a newborn on the way, we’ve realized that the unpredictable energy of small children is just too much for her; she’s spent most of her time hiding and her quality of life has really declined. Penny has never been aggressive, but she gets a mix of overly excited and scared at the same time, which makes a home with kids a tough fit. She’s great and gentle with cats, and while she doesn’t do well in crowded dog settings, she could potentially warm up to another dog. We’re looking for someone who can give her an active but calm life where she doesn't have to be afraid.

Story
Aggie — a ridiculously fun-loving German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix who is basically a walking, wiggling bundle of joy! This girl is one of TEN (yes, TEN!) siblings, so she came into the world knowing how to share the spotlight, snuggle up in a pile, and hold her own in a whole lot of puppy chaos. Big litter, bigger personality! Aggie comes from two gorgeous, purebred parents — a stunning German Shepherd and a beautiful Golden Retriever — so she's got that perfect blend brewing: the smarts and loyalty of a Shepherd mixed with the goofy, tail-wagging joy of a Golden. Basically, she's the whole package wrapped in a fluffy little bow. Puppy stats, because you asked: -9 weeks old and already the life of the party -German Shepherd x Golden Retriever — the "clever AND cuddly" combo platter -Zoomie status: fully activated -Loves playing in the grass, chasing, wiggling, and having the time of her life outside -Great with cats, dogs, AND kids — this girl gets along with everybody Raised alongside 9 siblings, so she's social, playful, and never met a stranger -Currently accepting applications for backyard playdates and belly rub marathons Fair warning: Aggie is high-energy and loves to play, so she's going to want a family who's ready for grass-rolling, toy-chasing, giggle-inducing fun every single day. Give her playtime, love, and a little training along the way, and you'll end up with a joyful, easygoing best friend who gets along with everyone. If you're looking for a puppy who will fit right in with your other pets, play hard with your kids, and fill your home with nonstop happy energy, Aggie might just be your perfect match! Ready to fall in love? Apply today — Aggie is waiting to meet her people! Warning: extreme cuteness (and extreme zoomies) ahead. **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our adoption questionnaire.** Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations and other routine care prior to adoption. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect’s preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. For more information, please email: svessali@petconnectrescue.org

Story
Beauty, grace, and enough Golden Retriever charm to stop people in their tracks. Josie is a 5-year-old purebred Golden Retriever weighing 73 pounds, and she is every bit as gorgeous as you'd imagine. With her beautiful golden coat, soulful eyes, and sweet expression, she's the kind of dog who turns heads wherever she goes. But Josie is more than just a pretty face. She is a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys the simple things in life—being with her people, lounging around the house, and stretching her legs in a large, securely fenced yard. She has wonderful house manners and settles beautifully into home life. Like all of us, Josie is her own unique individual. While Goldens are famous for being everyone's best friend, Josie is looking for a family that appreciates her for who she is. She'll thrive with an adopter who understands the breed can have some quirks and is happy to continue helping Josie become the very best version of herself. Josie would do best as the only dog or with a calm male canine companion. She is not a fan of cats and is looking for an adult home or one with older teenagers, rather than young children or frequent little visitors. If you're dreaming of sharing your life with a stunning Golden Retriever who will reward your love with loyalty and devotion, Josie is ready for her happily ever after. Quick facts: • 5 years old • 73 lbs • Purebred Golden Retriever • Sweet, affectionate, and loyal • Beautiful house manners • Best as an only dog or with a calm male dog • No cats • Adult home or older teens preferred • Would love a large fenced yard Every beauty queen deserves a crown. Josie would be perfectly happy if hers came in the form of a family to love. 👑🐾 **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our adoption questionnaire** Dogs receive routine veterinary care and spay or neuter surgery prior to adoption. Story
Meet Canela – Your New Cinnamon-Snuggle Buddy! 🐾✨ Hi there! I’m Canela, a 1.5-year-old, 45 lb GSD/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who’s basically a walking ray of sunshine with floppy ears and a wiggly tail. My name means “cinnamon” in Spanish, and I’m just as sweet and warm as one! I’m a submissive, friendly, and super-loving girl who lives for zoomies, big jumps, squeaky toys, and chasing tennis balls until my humans beg for mercy. I’m fully housebroken, crate trained, and I get along beautifully with other dogs and dog-savvy cats. My foster says I’m honestly one of the nicest dogs she’s ever met — I just want to be your shadow, give endless kisses, and be part of the family! I’d be happiest in an active home where I can run, play, and burn off all this happy energy. A doggy sibling would be a dream (though I’d be thrilled as an only child too), and I’d love a family that enjoys long walks, backyard adventures, and lots of cuddle time on the couch. A few important notes so we’re the perfect match: • I’m an impressive jumper — I might be able to clear a 4-foot fence, so I’ll need a watchful eye! • I sometimes forget that shoes aren’t chew toys (oops!). • I adore kids but my excited bounces can accidentally knock over tiny humans, so older children or careful supervision with little ones would be best. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate best friend who will greet you with full-body wiggles every single day, I’m your girl! Ready to make this cinnamon girl part of your pack? Come meet me — I promise you’ll fall in love! ❤️
