Story
Once upon a time there was a girl, a young and pretty little Lab mix girl, that was taken home and raised by a loving couple.  They were older and over time, first her mom died and then dad passed away and our Bon Bon Lucy was left at the vet in boarding.  She was put in boarding last February and the family paid for a while but soon decided that they just wanted her euthanized because they had noone to take her home to live with them. This sweet girl was in boarding for almost 4 months and the vet staff got very attached to her.  They called a local rescue woman with a HUGE HEART and told her the plight of Bon Bon Lucy.  She in turn, reached out to Critter Cavalry to ask for help and we were happy to help. We found her a wonderful foster family who just love this easy going 13 year old girl. They are so in love with this 63 pound girl that thinks she is only 5 years old!   She is the adoring and constant companion of the teenage children in the home.  She has an 8 year old foster dog brother who she likes very much and she is content to lay in her crate with an open door during the day as mom and dad are away at work.  This girl would be gone to heaven right now if not for a vet that cared and a rescue woman who responded to their plea to save her from a senseless end to her life that was too soon. This sweetheart is SOOOOO HEALTHY and happy and she would love a home for the next 3-5 years to just be your adoring sweetheart!  If you want a calm, housebroken, non-destructive, love of a dog…Bon Bon Lucy is your GIRL!   Please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell us where you live when you inquire about her.   We transport to the northeast from Nashville TN every weekend and we adopt locally to Nashville as well.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 7, 2023, 5:35 pm

Story
Daisy is a 2-3 year old German Shepard mix originally from West Virginia. This pretty girl is very sweet, well-behaved, playful, and perfectly house trained! Daisy knows basic commands, loves to take walks, and is happiest when relaxing in the coldest parts of our house. She can run and play forever, or is content with a full lazy day on the couch. Ideally, Daisy’s new home will have a yard. She loves to sit outside and birdwatch. Daisy is great with kids and is great at fetch! Sadly, she and our current dog don't get along. She's gotten along with other dogs, but we'd prefer to place her with a family with no other dogs, just in-case she doesn't tolerate them well. Please contact us with any questions! We adore Daisy and want to make sure her new home is the perfect fit.

Story
Henry is such a handsome boy. Henry’s life has not been easy. He deals with a bit of anxiety. He is weary of new people. This boy is 7 years old, neutered, fully vetted, and very loved. His family cannot keep him because he has developed a tendency to go after their newborn daughter. He would do best in a home without young kids. Although Henry has challenges with his anxiety, he would benefit from regular visits with a trainer! Henry needs someone to be patient and someone who understands his needs in regards to the signs he gives when he is uncomfortable. https://www.totherescueinc.org/adoption-application.html

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Piper is 1yo, weighs 45lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, but is not microchipped.  She knows the following commands:  sit, come, stay, heel.  "She loves playing with her toys, water, walks, cuddling up with you, playing fetch and chewing on sticks.  Piper is a beautiful, sweet, cuddly dog who is perfect 99% of the time.  She gets nervous and drools on car rides." Piper's guardian states the reason he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "She is resource aggressive and will attack our two senior dogs (one small mutt and one golden retriever). BITE/LUNGE/ATTACK INCIDENTS:  On 23 May 2023, in Crofton, MD, There was excitement as our 3 kids were trying to get leashes on the 3 dogs, [Piper] went after the senior golden.  The incident didn't break the skin and animal control was not involved.  On 19 March 2023, "She broke the skin on the head of our 10yo mutt over her food bowl one time and he had to get his head glued back together."  Piper's guardian states the following regarding children:  Piper lives with children, ages 11, 9, and 7, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, stating " Initially, Piper was aggressive with all people over resources but she has come a long way and will generally just walk away from a situation where a kid is getting near something of hers and put herself in her crate. She loves playing with our children and they do walk her and feed her but given the totality of her past and her natural instincts to guard her stuff I would not recommend that she go to a home with young children (under 10-12)." Piper's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Piper lives with dogs, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating " At this point her rare moments of aggression and unpredictability are all directed at our 2 other dogs. I believe she needs to be in a home where she is the only dog." Piper's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Piper doesn't live with cats nor has otherwise been around cats, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats. Piper's guardian describes her as: Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Protective Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Digger Piper's guardian describes her ideal future home:  " Piper is a beautiful, sweet, cuddly dog who is perfect 99% of the time. She would be the ideal pet in a home with no other pets and no young children." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Crofton, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1.
