Story
Jaxon is a Golden Doodle. Hi current picture shows him shaved down after they removed all of the mats. The groomer said it was the worse case she had seen in her 25 years. He now is a lot more comfortable and will be even more handsome when his fur grows back. He was an owner release who was not able to give him the time he needed. Jaxon is a very playful, happy guy. He loves to play with the other dogs and loves attention from his humans. Jaxon would love an active home where he had another dog or a family who would love to play with him. This smart, handsome boy will be a great addition to your family.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org May 3, 2025, 8:33 am

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFIN DER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Rose - Rose is 4-month-old puppy and was recently rescued from Texas. Rose and her brother were rescued from the streets, as many Texas dogs live this way. She was born into stray life and is now acclimating to being in a home. She is very shy but also very sweet and is coming out of her shell. She's doing an impeccable job with crate training and house training. Because she is so shy, she will be required to go to a home with another young and confident dog to help her build her own confidence. Dogs learn confidence from dogs, not people. Rose will need a buddy who is youthful and will be like a big sister or big brother. She is not a match for a senior dog. There are no exceptions to these requirements. We must do what is best for Rose! Rose is crate trained and is 99% potty trained too! Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. We do not know this litters parents therefore we are taking a guess of their breed simply from visual characteristics. Puppies require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy has received vet care from a veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Leon - Leon is about 8 months old and weighs about 44 lbs. Leon's foster did a DNA test and the results are Labrador Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog, English Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. Leon is a super sweet and playful pup who enjoys a good cuddle with his foster mom. When Leon was 4 months old he was surrendered to the local shelter because his left femur bone was fractured. Leon had surgery and has been doing physical therapy and is now ready to find his forever home. Leon enjoys walks and hikes and just sniffing around the backyard. Leon is great with the resident dogs in his foster home. Leon likes playing tug a war with his foster mom and also loves squeaky toys. Leon is not a fan of the crate, but the good news is he doesn't need to be crated. His foster mom has left him for 2-3 hours and he has done well. Leon is a happy go lucky boy who is ready for any adventure the day may bring. Leon will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! Leon is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. Story
Zoey's foster shared that she is a loving golden retriever. She is very affectionate once she gets to know you. She was introduced to other family members and while weary at first she has grown to play fine with them, including a young 3yo. Zoey is always happy to sit and sleep right at your feet while you are home. She is house trained and if left alone will tirelessly look out the window waiting for your return. She walks well, but has a small prey drive. Someone has to keep those nosy squirrels from interrupting her owner's walk. She's always up to play games. You will know when she wants to play as she'll bring her tug-o-war rope to your chair or drop tennis balls on your lap for some quality fetch time. She is a bit of an alpha dog and plays well with some dogs but not others. With that being the case, we think she would do better as a solo dog in the home or a slow controlled introduction if there are other pets. Please let us know if you would like to meet Zoey A! Thank you for your interest in Zoey A! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18579 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Zoey A, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Grace is housebroken to our knowledge. KNOWN LIKES: Affection, dogs, treats, training, toys. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Grace, the spirited pup with a heart full of love and a zest for life that's sure to bring joy to any home. With an estimated weight of 50 lbs, Grace may be compact in size, but she's bursting with energy and affection. Grace's list of likes is simple yet heartwarming - she thrives on the love and affection of her human companions, along with tasty treats to reward her good behavior. However, she does have a dislike for loud noises, so a calm and peaceful environment would suit her best. Despite her past challenges, including sensitivity at the vet, Grace is ready to turn over a new leaf and find a loving family who can provide her with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and, most importantly, unconditional love.
