Jackson is very patient around children. He is microchipped. Unfortunately, I will be selling my house by December 2025 and many of the rentals in the area either do not allow dogs or have a strict weight restriction so we can’t bring him along.

Hi, I’m Ember! I ended up at the shelter because my previous owner had to move, but I’m really hoping my next stop is my forever home. I’m a people-loving girl who likes to stay close and offer my paw anytime you need a little love (or I want some). I can be a tiny bit shy when I first meet someone new, but I warm up fast—especially if you talk to me gently. I get along great with other dogs, I enjoy my walks and yard time, and I’m always ready to run or relax depending on your mood. I’m not the biggest fan of crates, but once I feel safe, I think I could live happily without one. I eat slowly, love boiled chicken, and sometimes get excited and forget my manners, but I’m learning! If you want a sweet, loyal buddy who just wants to be near you, I’d love to be your girl.

Current Location: Mechanicsville, VA I'm Taco and here is a little bit about me. I'm a sweet boy of about 40lbs and almost 6 months old. I love to sleep in my crate and to play outside with my foster siblings. I walk well on the leash and am very good about doing my business outside. I am a very playful boy and like to explore all that I can but my favorite thing to do is to find shoes and bring them to my spot on the couch. I don't like to chew them, I'm just a collector. My second favorite thing is to give out kisses and try and sit on your lap. But most of all, I would love to go on walks, runs or any outdoor adventure. I would love my home to be in a urban setting with a big backyard so I can run and play. hi Jewel! This pretty girl is a 5 year old goldendoodle. She was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she was no longer wanted to produce puppies. She is 15 lbs. Sweet girl Jewel is learning that only good things will happen from now on. She came to us very timid and shy, but despite that, she has no issues being handled. She also seems to take a lot of comfort from her volunteers - she visibly relaxes when she is being cuddled. She is looking for a loving and patient home that will give her all the time she needs to build up her courage and confidence. She would love a social dog at home to help her show her the ropes. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She also had a dental.
