Story
We bought Benson from a breeder when he was 8 weeks old in May 2025. Since we brought him home, he's had issues with resource/food guarding, so we took him to a trainer where he learned how to obey basic commands (sit/stay/lay/drop/leave it/come). He is also house and crate trained. He's generally a sweet boy, loves to run, LOVES to chase balls, and enjoys being in the middle of things, but unfortunately, his resource guarding has not improved and he is unpredictable with our young children. He has bitten our 5 year old and shown aggression towards him, but has not shown that same aggression towards older children (teenagers) or adults that know how to act around dogs. Benson would do very well in an adult-only home.We do have another (elderly) dog that he gets along with well, though he is a bit rough with her. He has socialized with other similar-sized dogs as well and would likely love to live in a home with a companion that has a similar amount of energy and can keep up with him.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/31/26 Carl We have 2 Golden Retriever/Lab mix pups still available. These babies are about 3 1/2 months old. They are wonderful, smart, sweet natured boys! Their mom is a Golden Retriever and dad is a black lab. Gary has a slightly longer coat, while Carl has a more smooth coat and a white patch on his chest. Both are equally gorgeous and such good natured babies. Dont miss out on these guys! It’s not often that we know who mom and dad are when we take puppies into the rescue. These puppies are the perfect mix! Located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, adopter will need to pick up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick up) on a Saturday in MD, PA, NJ, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. Marigold, known as Mary is a sweet 6 year old golden retriever, who is obsessed with human attention. She wants to be your best friend and will lick you to prove it. She’s pretty lowkey and chill, with a silly streak and loves to roll around and chase her tail. She startles easily with sudden movements, so she’d do best with older kids who get boundaries and aren’t super unpredictable around her. Mary would do best as your one and only. She’s not really interested in other dogs, and she can get possessive over her toys and chews when other dogs are around (she’s totally fine about it with people). So a home where she doesn’t have to share is ideal. She doesn’t need a fenced-in yard, but she’s used to having one. She walks pretty good on a leash! Meet Frank, aka Frankie! Frank is a handsome, two-year old, 50-pound Goldendoodle with a goofy personality, a gentle heart, and so much love to give. When Frank first came to us, the world felt like a pretty overwhelming place. He was timid and nervous and wasn’t quite sure what to make of all the new sights, sounds, and experiences.
