At 14 months old and 31 pounds, she has an energy ranges from 6 to 9. When there is fun to be, had Lily loves playing ball, chasing, keep-away, and tossing squeaky toys in the air. Curious, food-motivated, and eager to be involved, she enjoys exploring and staying close to her people. She is also adorably clumsy, sometimes beckons with one paw when she wants something, and loves bully sticks and playful interaction. However, Lilly does love to settle down and cuddle with her human after she’s had enough exercise or been playing for a long time she will look for her human and be willing to be by your side on the bed or near your feet while you’re working on your laptop or watching television or reading a book - Lilly loves companionship! Lily knows sit, stay, and lay down, rides well in the car, sleeps comfortably in her kennel, and is working on leash skills and socialization. She lives successfully with two Pomeranians and two cats, enjoying her canine companions and remaining gentle with the cats. Lily spent too much of her puppyhood kenneled with limited exposure to household life and the outside world. Lily has made wonderful progress since entering a home - now she knows that her crate time is limited and is very well behaved when left out in the home where she can play with her toys or just flop down and sploot on the kitchen floor Lily is still somewhat timid in public and may bark when unsure about unfamiliar people, animals, or objects. With patience and time to investigate at her own pace, Lily becomes more comfortable. She needs continued positive experiences to build confidence. Lily also has mild separation anxiety and may whine when she cannot see her person, but she typically settles within about 10 minutes. Because she is energetic and enthusiastic during play, she would benefit from continued training and guidance with other dogs and play boundaries. Introductions to unfamiliar dogs should be slow, controlled, and supervised. Roseanna at Better Pups Dog Training called Lily a “dog trainer’s dream.” With her intelligence and enthusiasm, she could excel at agility, scent work, or another activity that provides mental stimulation and a job to do. Lily’s ideal home will be active, patient, and committed to positive-reinforcement training and confidence-building. She needs daily exercise, structured play, and continued socialization; a securely fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus. Meet Lux, a 1-year-old spayed female Retriever/Hound mix with a beautiful tan coat and an even sweeter personality! Lux is a playful little love bug who enjoys attention and just wants to be part of whatever her people are doing. And if you happen to have some tasty treats with you, you’ll be well on your way to winning her heart!Lux enjoys going for walks and exploring, although she is still learning her leash manners and will need a family willing to continue working with her. She has a nice balance of playful energy and affection and could likely do well in either an apartment or a house as long as she gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and time with her family.She appears to be dog friendly, but a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings will be required to make sure everyone is a good match. With her friendly, affectionate personality, we think Lux could make a wonderful family companion.If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl who wants to tag along for your adventures and then soak up plenty of love afterward, Lux is ready to meet you!

Sandy is a 2-year-old tan Retriever mix with long legs, a goofy smile, and plenty of energy to keep life exciting!Sandy is very dog friendly and would love to have a canine companion at home to play with. A meet and greet will still be required to make sure everyone is a good match.This girl LOVES to stay busy. She enjoys playing with toys, getting the zoomies in the yard, and going for walks with her people. She also has a hilarious fascination with sticks and is always looking for the perfect one to pick up on her walks and add to her growing collection!Because Sandy has so much energy, she will need a house with a securely fenced backyard where she can run and play. Apartment living would likely be too limiting for her.She is still working on her basic manners and can be strong on leash, so a harness and continued training are recommended. She can also get a little mouthy when excited, making a home without young children the best fit.Sandy is looking for an active family, plenty of playtime, and hopefully a dog friend to share her adventures with!

Standing straight up, tilting sideways, or sporting one adorable flop—you never know which look she’ll show off next.Dory is a friendly, energetic puppy who would love an active family and a home with a yard where she can run and play. She loves people, happily soaks up affection, and is incredibly dog-friendly with canine buddies who can keep up with her enthusiastic play style.Fetch is one of Dory’s favorite games, and she’ll usually bring the toy back for another throw! She also seems to enjoy water and has loved cooling off in our shelter pool and splash pad.Like any young puppy, Dory needs a patient, consistent family to help her learn potty training, crate training, leash manners, and other basic skills.
