🐾 Meet Millie – The Sweetest Girl Looking for Love! 🐾 Hi there, I’m Millie, and I’m as sweet as can be! 💕 I absolutely love everyone I meet—kids, big dogs, little dogs—you name it! I just have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will love me back. So why am I looking for a new home? Well, my owner’s boyfriend’s dog didn’t like me and wasn’t very nice to me. My owner made the tough decision to let me go because she knew it was for the best. And you know what? That means I now have the chance to find a family who will love me as much as I love them! I’m about 45 pounds, petite but full of personality! This sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about a year old and finds herself in an unexpected position. And its better for Millie to be in a home she can thrive in. She is medium sized, house and crate trained and while she still pulls on her leash, walking manners are improving quickly. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Meet Dot (Dottie) 🎀 Dot’s story began when her mother was rescued, and just a short time later, on Christmas Day 2024, Dot and her siblings were born safely in our care. Now 9 months old and about 40 lbs, this beautiful retriever mix has grown up in rescue — and it’s time for her to find a forever family of her own. Dot is as smart as she is sweet. She already knows sit, stay, and shake, and she’s potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and eager to please. She’s wonderful with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family companion. Her favorite game is tug, and she’s always up for playtime before settling down for snuggles. Playful, loving, and incredibly loyal, Dot has spent her whole young life waiting. Now she’s ready to grow up in the comfort of a forever home. 💕 📩 Apply to adopt Dot: www.dallasdog.org/adopt A good Samaritan took Dot's mom, a stray, in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies. Good Samaratan took her in so she had a safe place, got her medical care and supplies. Such a nice gentlemen reached out for help. Snickers is the full package! Crazy puppy energy, who still can't figure out why this tail keeps following him around, gentle with family members of all ages, and the perfect cuddle buddy after an afternoon of playing. Snickers is a 10 month old puppy who loves to cuddle on the couch and play in the backyard. He’s kennel trained and goes in when we say the word kennel. We’re working on basic commands and leash walking. He’s great with other dogs and our 1 year old son. A perfect family dog! This beautiful retriever was found as stray on Christmas Day. A good samaritan took her in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies. Adopting puppies is exciting and can be one of the most loving experiences. Puppies are young and cute, they are energetic, eager to learn, eager to please, happy, and exuberant. But it requires a significant commitment by their humans. While training puppies you need time, patience, consistency, routine and lots of love. Providing these essential elements helps them grow into well-adjusted, happy, and healthy furever companions. While we don't want to discourage anyone from adopting a puppy and want to continue to save more, we want the ones adopted to be successful in their homes. We have a large amount of resources available to help families navigate their lives with a new puppy. Story
Are you my forever companion? I'm Charlie, a sweet and loving pup looking for my perfect match. I'm a bit particular and enjoy my routine, so someone who understands and can accommodate that would be ideal. I can be shy at first, so a patient and kind partner is a must. No other furry friends or little ones at home, please! A cozy yard for playtime would be wonderful, but l'm not a fan of long walks or car rides. Let's cuddle up at home together! Charlie wants you to know even with his black fur and scars from puppy strangles, he is handsome, sweet, loving, smart and has all the same love and personality as the fluffy one over there! Charlie loves meeting new people; not around kiddos much. He is practicing his manners and learning his commands. He is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door. He knows the command sit and we are working on more. He loves taking walks and exploring the outdoors. He loves his ball and playing in the sprinkler. Charlie is king of the backyard sunshine! He loves to play but is a very chill, loving boy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Woody: Buddy, Pal, Pardner Reach for the Sky: -A wide-open trail of daily moseyin’ and muscle-buildin’ strolls to keep this cowboy’s rehab ridin’ smooth and strong. -He’s already shed 9 pounds of his former 92, aimin’ for a lean 75 with his special weight-management chow. To Infinity and Beyond! Reach for the sky, pardner—Woody’s the golden doodle hero you’ve been waitin’ for—a 100% good boy! Fresh off bilateral TPLO surgery on 8/20/25, this nine-weeks-post-op cowboy is on the mend with PT, daily strolls up to 25 minutes, and a few more months of light duty till he’s gallopin’ full-tilt again—full recovery might take a year, but he’s trottin’ faster every day. He’s never learned to jump (no couches, no trucks, no stairs), so he’s safe as Andy’s room; leave him loose or pen him, no crate needed, no separation anxiety, just a quiet shadow who’ll curl on a rug or nuzzle for belly rubs till your heart’s content. Woody loves every soul—people, pups, the whole toy box—but he’s a Mama’s Boy through and through, wigglin’ his whole backside like a happy sheriff’s badge when you walk in the door. Mostly chill with bursts of play, he’ll thrive as the only dog or with gentle pals, around kids or adults, long as his new Buzz Lightyear takes rehab seriously: walks, PT, diet, and no rowdy playmates knockin’ him off his horse. This unassuming gentle giant leans in for hugs, gives love double what he asks, and quietly fills every room with loyalty. To infinity and beyond, Woody’s ready for a forever friend who’ll help him ride tall again—yee-haw, there’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is love. Let’s Ride! Woody’s adoption fee is $500. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Woody a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within a 5-hour drive of one of our metro areas (DFW, Houston, Austin or San Antonio), please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/woody and select WOODY from the drop-down menu on the application form.
