This gentle giant is currently at ACC- found as a stray-in the city…twice over the years. His owner clearly does not want him. This senior gentleman is to be guessed at around 15 years old but is in good health considering. He is very relaxed, enjoys his walks and needless to say not terribly energetic. Would make a perfect companion for someone who is looking for a tv buddy or someone to read a book with, sit in front of the fire or maybe take a nice leisurely walk. This gentleman does not belong at ACC- will someone pls step up and offer him a foster or permanent home? He is ow UTD on all vax but is not neutered due to his age. Grandmaster Oogwayneeds out of shelter ASAP- if you can step up to foster or to provide him a home and love for his golden years of his life. so if you can just foster to help him If that special someone is you, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below. Story
Meet Mosey, she has the silkiest, softest fur, soulful eyes and huge heart. Mosey is 11 weeks old and has the silkiest, most playful personality. She loves everyone she meets and will eagerly follow after you for extra cuddles, scratches or kisses. Mosey is amazing with children and will be the perfect addition to a home where she grows up as part of the family. She has a blast playing with other dogs, loves squeaky toys (she will carry them with her) and is always ready to greet you with her silly smile. Mosey needs adopters committed to her puppy training so she can be your bestest girl This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Cassie is a truly special dog who is looking for her forever home. Cassie is an extremely loving 1.5-year-old, 48 lb mixed breed. She is believed to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Cassie has faced some challenges; she is deaf and has impaired vision. Adding to this, she was sadly abandoned in a house in South Carolina after a hurricane last fall and has now been searching for a home for over a year. Despite her past, Cassie is a resilient and affectionate girl. Her favorite activity is snuggling with her people on the couch, and she is fully housetrained. She also enjoys car rides, toys, and playing in the yard. Our trainer is committed to continuing her training with her new family. Cassie is seeking a home that is ready to embrace a special needs dog and, in return, receive endless love and companionship. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
