She needs a playmate and someone that can spend time with her and train her. She knows the basics but uses her huge feet to get attention. She is a total love bug. Matilda is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Matilda would do best with older children. This is Tuxedo a.k.a Tuxe. He is a Great Dane mixed. His birthday is July 9th 2023. He would love a home with another dog and someone who would have time to take him for walks and car rides. He does do well with children. He is house trained and listens to commands like sit and stay ect. He needs time to adjust and warm up to new environments. He was boarded at a vet facility for a week and when I went to pick him up he was very stressed and was aggressive some and on guard and never wanted to go back into that vet care again. He didn’t want to take baths and he was afraid of small strings. I assume they abused him during his stay there. He seems to be afraid of adult males and needs to be slowly introduced and it takes a little while for him to trust them . He seems to be more comfortable with an adult female owner. Although he has stayed with relatives both male and female and he did warm up to them and became comfortable. It just takes some time and slowly getting him use to other people. He is up to date with all vaccines. He is very loving and he is a verbal dog and well let you know if something is wrong and if he wants to go outside or just wants to play. He is very playful. He loves to play with other dogs and go for walks. He loves attention and hugs and kisses. He loves to sleep with you and cuddle. My circumstances won’t allow me to keep him right now. My family and I would love to keep him. If someone is willing to foster him until I can find a house then I will come back and get him. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a 3-year-old, 65-pound, Great Dane & Catahoula mix (we think). He’s house and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He’s looking for his forever family and wants a home where he’s your only kiddo (human or furry). A little more about Bearon: He can be wary of strangers and does best with slow introductions. Once he knows you, he’s quite the love bug and very sweet. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best as an only pet due to his occasional tendency to guard his food or toys. He’s an energetic boy, and a fenced backyard would be very helpful in getting his energy out each day. Once he’s exercised, he’s ready for a good snooze on the couch with you. Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 7 year old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me. I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things! I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo! I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are: Must have Great Dane experience No children No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work. Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!
