Story
Kane is just a big baby...waiting on some pawrents to take him home and spoil him.  Kane was brought to us by his owner, where he spent a lot of time confined to a crate or on a runner.   He is now learning all about freedom and that people can be nice and gentle to him.  Kane loves other friendly dogs and would love a friend to romp and play with.  He is doing great on his obedience training and getting confidence with his leash walking.    Due to his history we are not placing Kane in a home with children, as we feel he needs all the attention and training at this point in this life.    An owner with breed experience is strongly preferred.   Kane turns one year old May 30, we would love him to celebrate with his own family!  ##1703347##

Please contact Ashlyn (ashlyn9975@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Application is required - Please go to www.ppnk.org$350 adoption feeJasper is a 100+ lb Great Dane. He is an Energetic boy that needs a fenced yard. He came to us with chemical burns on his back likely from cheap flea medicine. So he is currently missing hair down his back and he is slightly underweight but slowly gaining it back. He knows basic commands, like sit and stay. He is also crate trained. All you have to do is open the crate door and he goes in with no issue. He does well with other animals, he does like to chase the cats but soon looses interest. He is ok with kids ages 8 and up. Due to his size I wouldn’t recommend a home with very small children as he is clumsy and doesn’t know his size. He is very curious of everything. All our animals receive professional veterinary attention including spay/neuter, testing, vaccination, deworming, food and shelter. We only rescue from Animal Control and cannot accept lost, hurt or unwanted pets from individuals.  We are a licensed non-profit no-kill shelter.June 1, 2023, 6:02 pm

Apply here: http://athenscaninerescue.com/adoption-procedures/ Introducing The Hunger Games pups! There are four girls (Annie, Mags, Primrose, and Rue) and four boys (Finnick, Gale, Haymitch, and Peeta), all of whom are so excited to get to meet their future forever families. The pups are eight weeks old and we are overjoyed to get to introduce them to you!  The puppies are charting to be pretty big pups! Momma weighs in at around 90 pounds, so we’re guessing that they’ll probably range from 75-110 pounds themselves. In fact, the biggest brother in the litter (Peeta) currently weighs in at 15 pounds at 8 weeks! Rue, the smallest sister of the bunch, is just a tad behind at 12 pounds. The rest of the pups fall somewhere in between those numbers.  Both Momma Katniss and Foster Momma are working hard to make sure our pups are happy, healthy and ready to go home! They’re growing up in a home with many other animals (including other dogs, cats, chickens and goats!) as well as human teenagers (a breed of their own!), so with a solid foundation like that, it’ll be up to you to continue their socialization so that they can be the best pups they can be. Interested in these big pawed pups? Contact us today! If you’d like to be considered to adopt, the first step in the process is to submit an application through our website: http://athenscaninerescue.com/adoption-procedures/. Our adoption fee is $250 per dog over the age of 6 months and $300 per dog 6 months or younger. We accept payment by Venmo, PayPal, or card. This includes: basic vet care (i.e. basic vaccinations, including boosters completed after adoption, spay/neuter, heartworm/flea preventatives, and treatment for any health needs while in our care), a microchip, a week’s worth of food for the trial-period, and a harness lead. All in state applications will be considered with some preference given to more local applications. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING OUT OF STATE APPLICATIONS FOR DOGS SIX MONTHS OR YOUNGER. We do not have a facility and operate through a network of foster homes. Thus, we do not have a phone number. If you’d like to discuss potential adoptions, please email at adopt@athenscaninerescue.com.
