Story

Toasted Marshmallow is the full government name, but my foster mom calls me Toast, Toaster, Toaster Waffle, Toasty Marshy, and Derpy Dude. I love my foster brothers and highly enjoy all the adventures our mom takes us on, but I would much prefer to be a city dog. I’m friendly with all the dogs I’ve met, I ignore cats, and humans of all ages are my friends. As long as they don’t sneak up on me! I can be timid until I get to know you. I’m not a fan of toys. I don’t understand why my foster brothers are always throwing fluff around the house, but I highly enjoy trotting around the yard with them and going on walks or car rides with mom! And I share treats and food very nicely. I’m a gentle giant who would love a desk to sleep under and keep you company while you work from home. But if you have to leave me, I am crate and potty trained. Though I can also be trusted to be left loose and I just sleep on the couch. Mom says my recall isn’t the best, but I stick to her like Velcro so I never get too far away. And I am well trained on a leash. Mom takes me to her family farm daily and while I help her clean horse stalls, I’d rather avoid the bugs and be a “city dog” as she calls me. But I enjoy the exercise I get walking around with her! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Hi, my name is Duke, aka Dukie Boy. Folks think I’m part Great Dane, GSD, hound, and just an overall big Heinz 57! I’m a bit over 100 lbs. and am a great mix of playful fun and snuggle bugs. I’m neutered, perfectly house trained and go straight into my crate without hesitation! At boarding I have fun with my friends both male and female. I also like to sleep on the bed - I’m the best snuggle buddy since I just curl up into a little ball and sleep through the whole night! Playing ball and frisbee are two of my favorite activities after some fun, I love nothing more than lots of pets and luvins and relaxation. I’m just a young boy (maybe 3-4 at most) who is searching for a forever home! I’m looking for another home to adopt my sweet Daisy Mae. Living conditions are changing, and I cannot currently keep her at the house I am at. My heart is absolutely breaking writing this post as it’s the absolute last thing I ever wanted to do, but I have absolutely no other choice. Daisy Mae is a beautiful chocolate great dane, and has some quirks that do need to be held into account for her new home. She is house broken and crate trained. I’d prefer her to go to a house that has a fenced in yard to stretch her legs out in. She is great on a leash. She does counter surf and rarely jumps, especially if excited, but that’s about it.

Kids: He is a great Family dog, but prefers to just lay around with whoever his owners are (to include kids), and pretty good with other dogs too. He also loves being pet and cuddled. He also does pretty good at being a Guard dog for the house, and barks when someone is in the driveway (living home alarm 😊). He has a huge appetite too.
