WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Meet Minnie – A Graceful Soul Ready for Peace and Love 🖤🐾 At 6 years old and around 95 pounds (could still use a few extra groceries!), Minnie is a stunning Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws. She was found abandoned and skin-and-bones in a San Antonio park, surviving on her own for far too long. It took patience — and some lunch meat — to slowly gain her trust, but she never showed a single mean bone in her body. Minnie is a gentle observer of the world. She doesn't seek attention but finds comfort in her cozy bed and simply being near her people. While still a little flinchy with touch, she’s made great progress and is learning that love comes with a soft hand and kind voice. 🩺 Minnie has a few benign lumps (vet checked and no treatment needed) and of course being out by herself she had tested positive for Heartworms. She has completed her heartworm treatment and should test negative at her six month retest. Currently at a neighboring rescue, Minnie is one of the lucky pups we’re helping through our partnership to save more lives. If she sounds like your perfect match, we’ll pull her into Hay Dude Rescue to complete the adoption process. 🐾 Minnie is great with other dogs and even cats, but would likely do best in a quiet home without children, or with older, respectful kids who understand that she may need space at times. Minnie doesn’t need much — just a soft place to land, a gentle hand, and the chance to feel safe again. Apply to add this beautiful soul to your family at haydudequine.org

Meet Roxie Apply to adopt at adoptastray.com After raising six beautiful puppies, Miss Roxie is finally ready for something she’s never had before — a home that’s all hers. This stunning adult Great Dane is the full package: goofy, gorgeous, and full of heart. She’s playful, sweet, and has a signature move — always carrying a stuffed toy or bone around like it’s her prized possession. (Because, well, it is. And she will let everyone know. ) About Roxie: Loves stuffies and chew toys — prefers to carry one at all times Gets along well with male dogs (and loves a good romp!) Fully house-trained Crate trained at night, and loves to spend her days outside Due to her XL size, she could accidentally topple toddlers — not on purpose, just part of the gentle giant lifestyle! Roxie would thrive with a fenced yard where she can stretch her long legs, and a cozy dog bed near your chair where she can snooze the afternoon away. She’s looking for a confident human who can be a calm, strong leader — someone to help her fine-tune her manners and enjoy daily walks together. She’s done her job as a mama. Now it’s her turn to be doted on, spoiled, and loved for exactly who she is. Ready to welcome 100+ pounds of loyal, silly, snuggly love into your life? Meet Inara, a stunning 3-year-old Great Dane weighing in at a graceful 125 pounds of pure love and silliness. This gentle giant is housebroken and crate trained, and she’s been an absolute dream in her foster home. Inara gets along well with other dogs, but she’s a big girl who doesn’t always realize her size—so she’d do best with medium to large doggy friends. That said, she also plays well on her own and would be perfectly content as your one-and-only pup! Good with dogs (medium to large preferred) Housebroken and crate trained Loves to play, nap, and repeat Cat tolerance is unknownJune 21, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
I have spent the majority of my life in rescue. I started out as a puppy in a California rescue "One Dane At A Time" and when my foster home moved to Ohio she brought me with her. Finally after 3 years in rescue I was adopted but that only lasted a year and well, I am again looking for a forever home. At first I thought I would be making the trip back to California but my new Grandma here in Ohio said I could stay here and find my forever home!! Update 7/3: Great News!! I will definitely be celebrating the Fourth of July because I am NOW ready for adoption!! I am a very loving girl and I do love my toys but I am a good girl I do not tear them up although at times they get a tiny rip when I am playing with it but I never shred them!! I love other dogs and cats as well!! Actually I can best be described as I just love life!! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you will need to follow the adoption procedures on our website. https://hhdane.com The procedures are on the right-hand menu. https://hhdane.com/hhdane/procedure.htm I have also pasted them below for your convenience. Thank you for your interest in our dogs. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our adoption area is Ohio and Extreme Northern Kentucky (Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties). We do not adopt to any other areas. For exact area go to FAQ. All of our rescue dogs are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. All shots including lyme and rabies are given. They have been wormed, checked for heartworm, lyme disease & ehrlichia, and placed on heartworm preventative. All dogs are kept for a minimum of one month for temperament evaluation and to be house trained. Registration papers are returned to the AKC as per their request and there are no exceptions. We require a fenced yard, fence must be at least 4 feet tall (48 inches) and must attach or surround with direct access to the building where the dog will be housed, NO Exceptions. Invisible and electric fences do NOT meet the requirements of a fenced yard. A yard of adequate size, to be determined on an individual basis. All pets in the home must be altered and current on vaccinations prior to applying to adopt. Adopter must be at least 21 years of age at time of application. In some rare cases apartments and condos may be acceptable if they have direct access to a fenced area for the dog to relieve themselves. Apartments and Condos to be determined on an individual basis. If you live in a condo you must send us a copy of your condo association rules as well as the contact number for the condo association. We do not place puppies and young Danes in apartments or condo's. We do not accept checks or credit cards. Story
When my owners no longer wanted me they took me, to SPCA Cincinnati and tied me to their gate and left me! The next morning when the shelter workers showed up, they contacted Cincinnati Animal Care so I could serve my stray time. When my stray time was up the shelter contacted Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue to come for me. Within hours I was here at the rescue. Update 10/24: Well I got neutered today and NOW Grandma says I need to work on my manners before I can find my forever home. Hummmm I guess that means I need to be better with everyone not just her. Update 11/02: I am NOW ready for adoption!! I am still working on my manners, but I am getting better every day. Update 5/4/24: Well as you know I was adopted out in September 2023 and unfortunately it did not work out. I was so excited to have a family of my very own I went into protective mode and that made my adopters nervous. We tried to make it work but we decided they were not the right family for me. Update 6/11/24: I am now ready to try being adopted again. Grandma and I have taken lots of trips to the Vets office, feed stores etc. and I am no longer getting overly excited when I see strangers. Although I still do LOVE to meet people now I have learned I must have manners if I want them to pay attention to me. __________________________ If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you will need to follow the adoption procedures on our website.
