Story
Our family adopted Archie as a puppy and we have loved watching him grow up. He will be 3 years old as of March 26. He is such a sweetheart and loves to snuggle up to his humans. He has a lot of personality and loves to play with his toys.. he always has a stuffy in his mouth! He would be best in a home without small children as he seems to get nervous around kids he doesn’t know. Archie gets along well with other dogs, but probably not those under 50lbs and not cats. He does resource guard his food. Rehoming him does feel like losing a member of the family, but I lost my husband a year ago and it’s just been too difficult for me to care for him along with my five children alone.

Story
Meet Mae, a 45 lb four-month-old Large Great Dane mix. She is full of energy and could be the best playmate for her forever family. Mae has mastered playtime so if it squeaks or rolls she loves it. She will even collect kindling for your spring fires, just take her gift quickly. When it comes to potty time, Mae is still learning to hold it between outside bathroom visits ,but she goes quickly most of the time whenever she is taken outside on the leash. Mae has no trouble going inter her crate at night and does so quietly. Although she is crate trained, she would be happier to be inside of it undisturbed by other dogs. Mae is a ball of energy and is able to play hardcore for over two hours at a time. She also plays well with her human brother and dog foster sisters, but does not yet understand how big she is in comparison. Mae would be best in a home with older children, adults, or dogs near her size. Mae is currently located in the Cincinnati, OH area and her adoption fee is $400. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Deion, a lovable 35-pound Great Dane mix puppy who's just 4.5 months old! With his silly, goofy personality, Deion is always ready to bring a smile to your face. His clumsy antics make every day an adventure, whether he's tripping over his own paws or playfully tumbling into his toys. Deion adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him the perfect companion for playdates and snuggles alike. He’s already crate trained, showing off his smart side, and is potty trained! Such a good boy! With his playful spirit and affectionate nature, Deion is sure to steal your heart! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 16, 2026, 9:54 pm

Story
Rex is a gentle giant with a heart just as big as his paws. This handsome Great Dane brings together the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm, making him an easy dog to love. Rex absolutely adores people and thrives on attention. Whether he’s leaning in for affection (classic Dane style!) or happily greeting new friends, he makes everyone feel special. And when it comes to other dogs, Rex is just as enthusiastic — he loves having canine buddies to romp around with or simply hang out beside. Despite his impressive size, Rex is all sweetness. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for adventures and then stretch out for a cozy nap at your feet at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who gets along with everyone he meets, Rex the Dane is ready to fill your home — and your heart — in the best way possible.

Story
Meet the "Gentle Giant" Doodles! Are you looking for a best friend who is equal parts majestic and mischievous? Our litter of "Danedoodles" (Great Dane x Some Poodle & couple other breeds) are officially ready to find their forever familes! These pups have hit the genetic jackpot: they’ve inherited the calm, "velcro-dog" heart of the Great Dane and the clever, playful wit of the Poodle. Despite their growing size, these pups firmly believe they are lap dogs. If there’s a spot next to you, they’ll find it. Thanks to their Poodle roots, they are quick learners! They’re already working on their "sit" and "stay," though they might try to negotiate for an extra treat. Most of the litter sports those soft, wavy coats that mean less time vacuuming and more time playing. Goofy Personalities-From "zoomies" to tilting their heads at every word you say, their curiosity is endless and their wagging tails are lethal weapons of joy. Temperament - Patient, goofy, and incredibly affectionate Energy Level - Playful bursts followed by epic 3-hour naps   Future Size – Based on their DNA (50% Great Dane), these pups are likely to grow big enough to reach the counter—so you might want to hide the cookies! That said, some may take after Mom, a medium-to-large Poodle mix weighing around 60 lbs, meaning you may only need to keep an eye on your end tables instead.  If you're looking for smart, loving and velcro puppies, then adopt one of us! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
