Story
Great Dane 2 years old Female 104 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No In 2006 a 38.12 carat cabochon-cut ruby sold for $5,860,000. Well…I’m a 104-pound Ruby, that’s a whole lotta carats! And I’ll give you a deal! How about a $200 adoption fee and a promise of forever love and devotion? Did I mention that I’m affectionate, loyal, people focused, and totally adorable? Did I mention that I am about 2 years old, housebroken, eager to please and everything a Great Dane lover could ask for? Ya, I’m a real gem and I know it! I do need a home without cats or small animals, but I won’t mind a well-matched canine friend who will respect me as queen—I expect to be treated like royalty, you know! Children 10+ who know how to treat me gently but are also sturdy will suit me best, and I am looking for a person who can keep me on a special diet and give me the supplements I need for my bladder condition. So how ’bout it? Sold!!! My adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Douglas is a sweet 2 yr old Great Dane mix looking for a very special home. His owner had to move cross country due to an emergency, and he is in the care of a friend who loves him but cannot keep him due to his size and his needs. It’s important to note that he has previously exhibited reactive behaviors towards other dogs or people, so he needs a home that is willing to work with him. Currently he is improving! He is goofy, sweet, intelligent, cuddly and energetic. He smart & can be prone to boredom behaviors, so he would do well with lots of activity. He can be a great hiking companion but is also content to nap beside you; he needs intellectual stimulation like puzzles and tasks more than he needs to get tired out with walks. His perfect owner would be an experienced owner of large breed & reactive dogs, who has a lot of time & patience to dedicate to him, ideally home a lot Maybe you have land where he can run. He should be the only dog, at least for now. No kids please.

Story
This is Kuma. He is 4 years old. He needs to be in a home as the only dog as he has resource guarding issues with food regarding other dogs. He is okay with humans handling his food though. He is good with cats but he is clumsy and a hazard to anything below his chin when he is walking / running (which is why he needs a new home as we have small children). He is a pretty good boy and knows sit, stay, high five/ give me paw, and wait. He hates baths and will run away if you ask him if he wants one. He knows what the work kitchen means and will go there if asked. He learns pretty quickly and is very gentle with his mouth. If you take a ball out of his mouth with your hands and make a yip sound he will immediately let go. He is a goofy guy and it was a hard decision to make to let him go but in the end we think this is what is best for him.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Brienne! I'm a 1.5 year old Great Dane mix. I love my family, but they're having to move to a very small apartment after having lived on property my whole life. I'm very high energy and really need someone that is good with training since Mom said I was pretty stubborn. I promise I'm worth it because once we become best friends all I'll want to do is snuggle you!

Story
Meet Vito, the canine Casanova of charm, the dashing puppy with a striking coat and huge brown puppy eyes that make everyone fall in love with him.  Born in March 2024, this adorable boy has a way of looking up at you like you're his best friend on earth, and his sweet, innocent smile is a surefire way to brighten even the gloomiest day. Vito’s superpower? Making you smile whenever you lay eyes on him. His charm is impossible to resist, and his playful demeanor and loving gaze will have you wrapped around his paw in no time. So, if you’re looking for a four-legged friend who’s a walking, tail-wagging testament to the power of a smile, Vito’s your boy. Get ready to have your days filled with fun, cuteness, and the best puppy eyes you’ve ever seen! Vito will need obedience training as he gets older and more mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350, The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors.
