Story
Kevin is so much fun to be around. He loves to romp in the yard with a toy and he will fetch it and bring it back. He loves to be close to you and he will even cuddle on the couch. His Foster has him load on his own in the back of her jeep for rides. he stays in the crate when she is not able to monitor him although the crate is not his favorite place to be. Of course he would rather be with you. He walks very well on a Gentle Leader! He will sit for a treat, and we have no doubt he could learn a lot of new things with treats because he’s very food motivated. He is potty trained and has great house manners. He enjoys going out into the yard with other dogs that are relaxed, laid back, and he will engage in some play. He can be a vocal player. He would do great with rural life with less chaos. Check out his video, he passed his assessment with other dogs No problem. Kevin is a big boy so we are looking for someone who can handle a large breed dog. Even though he is only around 70 or 75 pounds, he is tall and lanky so he is pretty large. He has a gorgeous, shiny black coat and super soft, floppy ears. Kevin is always joyful, no matter what he’s doing. He brings joy to the room! We think he is about 1.5 years old. We cannot be sure about his breed, but a smaller version of a great Dane seems to be our best guess. He will need a home with a backyard where he can run and play! He is vocal sometimes so apartment/condo life with shared walls won’t be the best fit for him. He would also do best in a home with a doggy companion that matches his energy level and doesn’t mind his “chattiness” and would enjoy running and playing with him, or to be an only dog. Either way would be fine. It would be best if Kevin went to a home with kids 8 and up since he’s a bigger boy and will jump when excited or seeking human affection. You can see him in the video with my 6 year old and he did great but did jump once. Kevin is a champ in the car and can get in and out on his own. He behaves nicely on rides and would love to go with his new people/person on errand runs and road trips once he’s settled in. Kevin is such a smart boy and has so much potential! Just a little time and patience and this guy can learn basic commands with no problem! No cats for this fella - he was much too interested during his cat test! If Kevin sound like a good fit, please apply today! Here you can see his personality: https://youtu.be/y81GLw4jxhw?si=affipBL7SILQa8Le Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65b7bbabd91794b242058adf Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

I do need a home without cats or small animals, but I won’t mind a well-matched canine friend who will respect me as queen—I expect to be treated like royalty, you know! Children 10+ who know how to treat me gently but are also sturdy will suit me best, and I am looking for a person who can keep me on a special diet and give me the supplements I need for my bladder condition. So how ’bout it? Sold!!! My adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Douglas is a sweet 2 yr old Great Dane mix looking for a very special home. His owner had to move cross country due to an emergency, and he is in the care of a friend who loves him but cannot keep him due to his size and his needs. It’s important to note that he has previously exhibited reactive behaviors towards other dogs or people, so he needs a home that is willing to work with him. Currently he is improving! He is goofy, sweet, intelligent, cuddly and energetic. He smart & can be prone to boredom behaviors, so he would do well with lots of activity. He can be a great hiking companion but is also content to nap beside you; he needs intellectual stimulation like puzzles and tasks more than he needs to get tired out with walks. His perfect owner would be an experienced owner of large breed & reactive dogs, who has a lot of time & patience to dedicate to him, ideally home a lot Maybe you have land where he can run. He should be the only dog, at least for now. No kids please.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Brienne! I'm a 1.5 year old Great Dane mix. I love my family, but they're having to move to a very small apartment after having lived on property my whole life. I'm very high energy and really need someone that is good with training since Mom said I was pretty stubborn. I promise I'm worth it because once we become best friends all I'll want to do is snuggle you!
