Story
Little Bit Lucy is our 5 month old mixed breed girl. She is a rescue so we of course cannot guarantee her breed. However, she is growing into some tall legs and we expect her to be a large sized girlie! You are seeing this right - she has ½ an ear on her right side. She was found this way and by the looks of it we think someone tried to crop her ears on their own. We think she is beautiful just the way she is! Lucy is the little sister to her foster dog sibling, so this has earned her the nickname - Little Bit. She ADORES her big sister and follows her all around the place! Playtime, dinner time, nap time - you name it and Lucy is right by her big sister! Lucy is fostered with an adult dog, adult cat, and a toddler! She gets along great with everyone and just wants them all to be her friends. Lucy is very cat friendly, but is a puppy so she’s still learning how to be “cat-savvy”. She wants to play with the cat, but the cat doesn’t always want to play with her of course. She’s learning! Our Little Bit Lucy also loves to cuddle. As long as you have space on the couch and open arms - she’ll be there to squeeze right in next to you for a short nap or a deep sleep. She loves her humans. Lucy is very well mannered for a 5 month old pup. She knows how to sit, lay down, and we are working on stay. She picks up quickly though! Her fosters describe her as having a medium energy with once a day zoomie spurts in the yard with her foster sister. Little Bit Lucy would love to be a part of your family! Please email kristen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $800.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
*Currently fostered in HOUSTON TX but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transport. Provide a zoom call for you to virtually meet prior to adoption This cuddly, happy go lucky puppy has a pretty sad origin story. He was spotted on the side of the road, leashed to a crate, with all of his items inside. His toys, bed, a bag of food and water bowl all left there on the road side along with him. We were told about him from our family members who saw him as we went to lunch. When we finished a half hour later, we went to check it out and found only a pile of food and some scraps from the bag, and a bowl of water. Clearly thinking someone had come by and picked up, only to see him standing nearby, panting from the heat. Someone had stolen all his items, but left him behind AGAIN! We couldn't just leave him behind after that. So, meet Sokka! This sweet baby is just a cuddle boy looking for a home to call his own! So far, he is loving, well mannered, and super friendly. He likes other dogs, and has met large and small and been great. He clearly hasn't had much interactions with cats, but is respectful and quick to learn so socialization should lead to a healthy friendship! He also has spent time with children and absolutely adores them! So a family home would do great for Sokka! Sokka loves to play and is always ready to have some fun. He doesn't have a favorite toy, because he loves them all! He will even play with sticks if there isn't one around and loves to play fetch! Sokka is all about his people and if he has the choice will stick by their side through any adventure. Though he is just a puppy, he is already learning his basic obedience. He knows how to sit, and to settle when he's being too hyper. He also is fully crate trained and when we tell him it's time to sleep or eat, we say kennel up and he goes to his crate. He is also leash trained and about 90% housebroken! Sokka is fully vetted, meaning he is current on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Douglas is a sweet 2 yr old Great Dane mix looking for a very special home. His owner had to move cross country due to an emergency, and he is in the care of a friend who loves him but cannot keep him due to his size and his needs. It’s important to note that he has previously exhibited reactive behaviors towards other dogs or people, so he needs a home that is willing to work with him. Currently he is improving! He is goofy, sweet, intelligent, cuddly and energetic. He smart & can be prone to boredom behaviors, so he would do well with lots of activity. He can be a great hiking companion but is also content to nap beside you; he needs intellectual stimulation like puzzles and tasks more than he needs to get tired out with walks. His perfect owner would be an experienced owner of large breed & reactive dogs, who has a lot of time & patience to dedicate to him, ideally home a lot Maybe you have land where he can run. He should be the only dog, at least for now. No kids please.
