She gets along well with other dogs and children, and while she’s still learning her manners when meeting new people, her excitement quickly turns into calm behavior. Story
Grimm was adopted as a puppy. As he grew over the last year, so did his family. With the new addition of a baby, the family has decided that it would be in Grimm's best interest to find a home with older children as the baby's size and cries are unnerving to him.  He is a wonderful companion who is housebroken, and crate trained. He is great with other dogs and kitties of all shapes and sizes. Grimm is a loving boy who will make a great addition to the family seeking that XL loving without the puppy stage.  Grimm has been neutered. He is current on vaccinations and have received a ProHeart12 shot which is a full year of monthly heartworm prevention rolled into one annual treatment. Story
Hello! My name is Dallas! I am a 1 1/2 year old male Great Dane/German Shepherd mix that weighs 85lbs. I was surrendered by my family due to some unexpected life changes and I am now looking for my FURever home. I am great on leash, crate trained/house broken, and I understand basic commands. I have been raised with children ages 4 years and older. I have spent a lot of time around other dogs but a meet and greet is always suggested if you have another dog in the home. I have never been around cats so that would be a new experience for me. I would make a great walking, running, or hiking buddy. I will need a person or family that has the patience to work with me since I am a bit shy when meeting new people, but I am a very loyal companion once I am comfortable with you. I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on my basic yearly boosters, and heartworm negative. My adoption fee is $275. You can apply to meet/adopt here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society   We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Champ, a 5-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart full of potential. At 30 pounds, this sweet and gentle boy is a bit on the shy side, but his tail wags with excitement when he gets the attention he craves. Champ is still learning to trust the world around him and will need a patient and loving family to help him come out of his shell. With time and care, his true, wonderful personality is sure to shine through. Champ is great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a versatile companion for any household. One of his cutest quirks is his cautious approach to treats—he recently took his time figuring out how to enjoy a simple milkbone, which was both endearing and a testament to his gentle nature. If you’re ready to welcome a loving, loyal friend who just needs a little time to blossom, Champ is the perfect addition to your family.
