Story
My dogs name is Bodie. He is a wonderful family pet. He is almost 6 years old. Ive had him since he is one. Smartest dog I've ever had. My outdoor adventure buddy. Great with my 10-year-old daughter. Very well trained. Can be in or out of a crate. No bathroom issues. No barking issues. Good with other pets and people. He needs a financially stable family that can give him the veterinary care he needs. Immediately, he needs bladder stone surgery. In addition, within the past year he developed a disc issue that causes back hind leg weakness. He is on medication. We have been to the neurologist. If financially able, the neurologist said this issue is fixable. But he can also live with it, with special care. The vet bills have become too much over the past 6 months figuring out his issues. And now I can't afford to fix them. Breaks my heart. But he deserves a good home, that can financially help him be the great adventurous dog he is.

Story
Meet Mae!   This big girl is looking for a new home. She is a 3 year old great pyrenees mix. She is in need of a family who can continue her training. She does well with kids, but can be reactive meeting people for the first time and also on leash.  She gets along with some dogs, but would probably do best in a single dog home as she can be a bit of a resource guarder.  She is working on these behaviors and will need continued support. April 26, 2024, 4:46 pm

Story
Meet our fluffy bundle of energy! This Great Pyrenees mix is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, get ready for non-stop fun. She is always the first to greet you in the morning with a wagging tail and a big smile. This pup has a lot of energy to burn and would love a family who can keep up with her playful antics. However, she does not get along well with small animals due to their strong prey drive. She would be most comfortable in a home with kids who are over 7 years old, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love and playtime she craves. If you're looking for a loyal and energetic companion, look no further than this adorable Great Pyrenees mix!

Story
Beau is the most wonderful dog. He is a great guardian for your poultry, cats, goats, sheep and is great with all sizes of dogs. He loves people including children. His best canine friend died of cancer and he is missing her a lot. We are moving in the near future and don't know where we may have to live so don't want to add another pet to the mix. He has a large fenced area and has never jumped or tried to escape. His ideal home would have critters for him to protect and another dog to play with. He is about 7 years old and is a very loving animal but this breed does require different management than other dogs. They act more like livestock so teaching them tricks is out of the question. He loves to be brushed and really loves his dog house as his puppy years were spent in an open-fced shed with goats and sheep.

Story
Oreo is the perfect example of a great family dog! This 76-pound lap dog will snuggle her way into your heart in no time. She is an incredibly sweet and gentle 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Pitbull mix (along with a few other things) and has the best temperament you could ask for. She is very friendly and happy to chill next to you (or in your lap) all day, but she will also jump at the chance to go on an adventure or play with another dog at their pace (although another dog in the house isn't a requirement). She is also a big cuddle bug and great with kids of all ages. Her 5-year-old human foster brother absolutely ADORES her and loves snuggling with her on the couch. Oreo is house trained (no marking), can use a doggy door with no issues, knows some basic commands, and walks pretty well on a leash (but can get a bit too excited about something she can chase, so she needs someone ready to handle that until fully trained). She is crate trained but isn't a fan of being in the crate with the door closed. She hasn't met any cats yet. Oreo is as loyal as you could ask for, which makes it particularly sad that through no fault of her own, she was returned to BBCR because of a divorce. She is currently being fostered in Erie and is very ready to find her actual furever home. So if you want to feel just how velvety soft her ears are, apply with BBCR today so you can meet this incredibly sweet love bug.

Story
Timo is a 1 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs just under 100 lbs. He is dog, kid, and cat friendly. He walks well on a leash, loves humans of all sizes, and is such a love bug! He is a gentle giant and seems to be house trained and kennel trained. Typical to his breed mix, he loves to spend time outside lounging in the yard, and comes in the house periodically throughout the day, for love and pets! Because of this, he will need a home with a fenced yard. Sadly, his tail was injured by another dog while in a TX shelter, and had to be amputated because of the injuries to it. But that doesn't make a difference one bit! He is still a big, gentle and happy boy!! Come meet this sweet boy today in Timnath:)

Story
Sweet Babe is a 1-1/2 year old Great Pyrenees girl. She came in with non-contagious Demodex mange and hardly had any hair. She was also very underweight and had digestive issues, too. It's taken a couple of months to get her healthy and her hair is growing back. She is a super nice girl. She walks oh, so nicely on a leash. She's pretty well potty trained, rides well in a car, has lots of energy but can also just hang in the house. She has the most beautiful "eyelined" golden yellow eyes. Her foster's 25# dog loves to play "chase me" with Babe and run zoomies in the yard and house. She gets along great with the other fosters in her home.

Sven is guessed to be a Great Pyrenees mix. He’s a lover and cuddles with his pseudo siblings in foster care (chihuahua Doxie mixes) he is doing great with bigger dogs and is working on potty training and using a doggy door. This sweet boy is being monitored in care as it seems he might be deaf. So please note this when considering this amazing guy

Bernie will do best with another confident and playful dog friend. If you're ready to welcome a loving and loyal Bernedoodle into your home, Bernie is waiting for you. She is ready to create countless memories filled with love, laughter, and joy. Apply today! Bernice is an 11-month-old mixed breed rescued from a for-profit breeding facility. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX tested, and spayed. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption!
