Rain is a beautiful Pyrenees mix and is believed to be approximately 1-3 years old. She is very shy at first but loves affection once she feels safe with you, she is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! She weighs approximately 80 lbs and still needs to put on a few more pounds to be at a healthy weight. Rain came to Colorado with her sister Snow, they were both very underweight. They are thriving at their foster mom's house and are putting on weight and getting healthy and strong and are ready to be loved! We don't know much about her history but we can tell she was never socialized. Every day she gets more confident and would love to have a home of her own and someone to love her unconditionally and continue to teach her how good it is to be loved! Rain loves to play with other dogs so she will probably do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home but is not completely necessary if an adopter has lots of love to share with her. Rain loves her kennel and feels very safe in it. She sleeps through the night and naps in it during the day. She also loves food so it is easy to work with her to gain her trust. This beautiful girl is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates shy or unsocialized dogs. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these precious dogs and is working with all the dogs in her care on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. Probably the thing Rain will need the most patience with is learning to walk on a leash. Currently it scares her but her foster mom is trying to help her with that. Since leash walking makes her nervous she will need a home with a fenced yard. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. We also think she would be fine with older / calm children. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. Meet Ayla! This sweet young dog has already figured out that life is better when you slow down and enjoy it. She’s happy to head out for a short walk and explore the neighborhood, but if given the choice between covering another mile and stretching out in the grass for a while, the grass is probably going to win. Ayla is affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when she gets to be close to her people. She loves lounging around the house, settling in for a good cuddle, and generally making herself comfortable wherever her humans happen to be. She’s the kind of companion who is perfectly content to turn an ordinary afternoon into a lazy day together. She also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Whether she’s spending time with her people, hanging out with another pup, or simply soaking up a nice day outside, Ayla seems to appreciate the quieter pleasures in life. If your ideal dog is more “stop and smell the roses” than “train for a marathon,” Ayla may be exactly your speed. Ayla is a 7-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Ayla is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. ADOPTION FEE: $200 Meet Kylo: Kylo is a silly, sweet, affectionate boy who believes every person he meets is his new best friend. He’s the perfect blend of energetic and mellow: he’ll happily romp and play, but he’s just as content to curl up for cuddles on the couch. If you’re looking for a dog who can match your active days and your lazy ones, Kylo is your guy. Kylo is extremely people‑oriented and loves adults and kids alike. He has grown up with a young child and is gentle and tolerant with food, toys, and handling. He doesn’t have any herding tendencies or guarding behaviors. The only thing to keep in mind is that he sometimes forgets he’s a big boy and may accidentally knock over small children in his excitement to say hello. When visitors come to the home, Kylo will bark at the doorbell and rush over to greet them, but it’s all enthusiasm. He truly just wants to make friends. Kylo is a social butterfly off leash. He’s a regular at dog daycare, where he plays well with other dogs and has a great reputation. He can play rough at times, but never with aggression. On leash, however, Kylo struggles with reactivity. Seeing another dog can cause him to bark and lunge, and his big voice can be intimidating. He has never harmed another dog, but he will need an adopter willing to continue working on his leash manners. Kylo lived peacefully with a cat who preferred to avoid him. He wanted to play, but respected her boundaries. He does have a prey drive toward small wildlife. Kylo is fully potty trained and crate trained. His crate is his safe space, and he settles well when left alone. He does have some mischievous tendencies when unsupervised, such as chewing, digging, counter surfing, trash diving, and barking. He also enjoys burying treasures in the yard and will eat poop if it’s not picked up promptly. Because of this, he should not be left loose in the house or yard without supervision.
