Story
Zelda is a Great Pyrenees. She has lived with cows, horses, goats, turkeys, ducks, chickens, sheep, etc. her whole life. She is a true loyal companion at heart to her farm animal friends. She has lived outside her entire life around those animals and has done her job well. I can't speak for the indoors, but she is always ready to give anyone love. With a job, she will protect the ones she loves with her life. We have had Zelda since a small 8-week pup when our friends offered us one of their pups from her parents here locally. Zelda is 4 years and 3 months old and still very lively! Ideally, the person looking to take her has some land and some room to run around. A few livestock or small farm animals will go a long way with her as she loves to have a job to do. She is great at patrolling so give her a space and she will defend it. She has even gotten some skunks in the past that have gone after our chickens. She is always looking out for the little guy. Zelda is a sweetheart!

Story
"Meet Sugar — a 2-year-old female Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as her fluffy smile 🤍 At 59.4 lbs, Sugar could stand to gain a few more pounds, but what she may lack in fluff right now she more than makes up for in pure sweetness. This girl is happiness on four paws — her tail is always wagging, she gives the very best kisses, and she’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near her people. Sugar loves everyone she meets and does wonderfully with other dogs. She walks beautifully on leash — no pulling, no reactivity — just happily moseying along, stopping to sniff absolutely everything (because the world is fascinating, obviously 😄). She appears to be potty trained and has great house manners. Crates aren’t her thing — they’re actually pretty scary to her — but the good news is she’s completely trustworthy free roaming, so there’s no need to push it. She settles nicely in the home, enjoys playtime and the occasional burst of zoomies, but is just as content to lounge and relax by your side. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, easygoing companion who will adore you endlessly and bring a constant wag to your life, Sugar might just be your perfect match 💕" Sugar is being fostered in Firestone, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/sugar/. Story
"Looking for a little bit of fluff and a whole lot of heart? Meet Holly, a 10-12-week-old Great Pyrenees puppy who is ready to find her “furever” home. Holly is a sensitive soul who is still figuring out that the big wide world isn’t so scary after all. While she’s a little shy at first, once she feels safe, her true personality shines through! She loves to play with other dogs and they help to build her confidence. She is currently in a home with older kiddos (10 and 13) and two playful dogs. She really loves to play with toys and is treat motivated. She is still a puppy but is doing great with crate and potty training. She will be pure joy to her forever family!" Story
Who’s fluffy, white, and a total delight? Teddy! Teddy is a 10-12 week old Great Pyrenees. He’s around 22 lbs. Teddy is doing beautifully with his house and crate training. He’s incredibly smart, great with dogs, and doesn’t mind the cat in his foster home. He’s even met a kiddo and loved him, too. Teddy will thrive in a home that will keep his mind and body occupied (Pyrenees are known for being independent, often loud, and they like the dig and chew). A big yard and plenty of snuggles to go around would be the cherry on top! Teddy is being fostered in Greeley, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/teddy/. Story
Meet Snow 🤍 Snow is a beautiful Pyrenees mix, estimated to be around 1–3 years old, currently being fostered in Fort Collins. She weighs about 80 lbs and is still filling out after arriving in Colorado very underweight with her sister. She has come such a long way and is truly blossoming. Snow is shy at first, but once she feels safe, she absolutely loves affection. She has the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. Every day she grows more confident and is learning how good it feels to be loved. She loves other dogs and would likely thrive with a confident canine buddy, though it’s not required. She is kennel trained, doggy door trained, naps and sleeps through the night in her kennel. She feels very safe in her kennel so the foster mom would want an adopter that is willing to continue to let her kennel. She is food motivated, which makes building trust with her much easier. Leash walking still makes her nervous, though she does well walking on leash around the fosters 7-acre property. Because of this, she needs a quiet home with a fenced yard (preferably a 6-foot fence). She would likely do well with older, calm children and possibly cats with slow introductions. Snow is being fostered with a professional trainer who specializes in helping shy dogs build confidence. A free training session will be provided to her adopter to help ensure a smooth transition and continued progress. She has already come so far — now she just needs a patient, loving home to call her own 🤍 Please reach out if you’re interested in giving Snow the safe, peaceful life she deserves
