Story
"Dreaming of life with a cuddly polar bear? Teddy might be the next best thing. With his fluffy looks and gentle soul, Teddy is a big, lovable boy who’s all about comfort, companionship, and being close to his people. Don’t let his livestock-guardian appearance fool you—Teddy already tried the farm life and decided it wasn’t his style. This guy is firmly team indoors. Despite being raised on a farm, Teddy has transitioned beautifully to home life. He’s fully housetrained, sleeps near his humans day and night, and thrives on being part of the family. Photos don’t quite capture just how tall and long Teddy is, so he’s hoping for a home with enough space to stretch out and relax. He also has a big, impressive voice, which means apartment or shared-wall living wouldn’t be the right fit for him. Teddy enjoys going for walks and likes to stick close to his foster mom’s side. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs—both big and small—but would also be perfectly happy soaking up all of your attention. He’s great with children, too, though his affectionate leaning could accidentally topple very little ones. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be near you, Teddy is ready to make your home his forever home." Teddy is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/teddy/. Story
Snow is a beautiful Pyrenees mix and is believed to be approximately 1-3 years old. She is shy at first but really loves affection once she feels safe with you, she is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! She weighs approximately 80 lbs and still needs to put on a few more pounds to be at a healthy weight. Snow came to Colorado with her sister Rain and they were both very underweight. They are thriving at their foster mom's house and are putting on weight and getting healthy and strong and are ready to be loved! We don't know much about her history but we can tell she was never socialized. Every day she gets more confident and would love to have a home of her own and someone to love her unconditionally and continue to teach her how good it is to be loved! Snow loves to play with other dogs so she will probably do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home but is not completely necessary if an adopter has lots of love to share with her. Snow loves her kennel and feels very safe in it. She sleeps through the night and naps in it during the day. She also loves food so it is easy to work with her to gain her trust. This beautiful girl is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates shy or unsocialized dogs. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these precious dogs and is working with all the dogs in her care on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. Probably the thing Snow will need the most patience with is learning to walk on a leash. Currently it scares her but her foster mom is trying to help her with that. Since leash walking makes her nervous she will need a home with a fenced yard. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. We also think she would be fine with older / calm children. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. The foster provides a discount on training to her adopters. Please apply for Snow today!!

Story
Junie is a sweet, fully potty trained, and well behaved 3-year old female Colorado Mountain Dog! She loves people, of all ages (especially kids), and other canine playmates. She needs a loving and patient home with a fair amount of land so she can run, and preferably have a job. She loves the ranch life and gets along with others, but I moved from the ranching life. She needs more room than I have and I'd love to see her thrive in a family who can give her what she needs. She is quiet, unless there is something outside at night. She loves toys, bones, treats, and the occasional dropped food scraps. She is very silly and always brings humor to the day! She will only sleep in a dog bed and has done so since she was a puppy. I never knew why; I think the previous owner/breeder taught her this. She needs to run to be the best behaved dog. If she doesn't, she'll have some behavior issues. She knows vocal commands, on-leash and off. Please reach out with questions.
