Story
Tigger, Pyrenees/Collie, 5-6 yrs., 76 lbs. Tigger is friendly and laid back. He’s good left in the house, loves his crate, good on a leash and loves car rides. He’s been good with female dogs and doesn’t seem interested in the barn cats. Tigger wandered into a farm and they didn’t want him so a good samaritan took him home but he can’t keep him. Tigger is a really good, calm, people-oriented dog. We are looking for a home with someone home most of the time or a home with a female dog about his age and energy level. Courtesy listing. Story
"I know what you’re thinking, “Oh look at that adorable St. Bernard mix!” We thought that too. Turns out, zip, zero, zilch, not even a tiny trace. Juno is a unique combination of working dogs (Pyrenees, GSD, Cattle Dog) and America’s best pets (Labrador & pittie). She’s 71 lbs, 3 years old, house trained, and refining her leash walking skills. Juno is smart. Her pastimes include food puzzles, toys, walks, running around the yard, and on weekends hitting up the chess tournaments and NY Times crossword puzzles (this has got to be the GSD in her). No lie. Some of her other breed characteristics run deep, cue Pyrenees, so a large fenced in yard is a must. She’s an alerter (also thank you Pyrenees) and will alert her family to the happenings all around when she’s out and about and on patrol. She’s dog friendly but plays a little too rough with little dogs (ah hem, cattle dog makes an appearance) so is likely best suited with a large playful, goofy male dog. Juno loves her people and is ultra snuggly (ah, there are America’s sweethearts the pittie and the lab) , yet thrives on structure and routine and knowing what the expectations of her are. She’s eager to learn, food motivated, and I’ll say it again, smart. We prefer a home with older kiddos. Juno is being fostered in Boulder, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/juno-3/. Story
Blanche is a 2 year old recovering working dog. ”Recovering from what” you might ask? Recovering from working. I think we should all try recovering from work! Blanche was abandoned (maybe dumped, we aren’t sure) near a farmhouse in Texas. Shortly after her arrival she welcomed a litter of pups. The residents at the farmhouse did their best to care for her and her family but ultimately decided they were better off with a rescue. Blanche is reportedly livestock friendly, she’s good with other dogs, and she’s social with people. The idea of being crated or contained is foreign to her, but she’s making strides each day. Like most Pyrenees, she can jump a short fence, so will need a 6ft privacy fence. She’s best known in her foster home for her comedic faces and smirks! Blanche is approx 60 lbs but could use some meat on her bones. We estimate around 65-70 once fully filled out. Blanche is being fostered in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/blanche/.
