Story
Spotakus (Spot) for short is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Livestock Gaurdian. He is about 2 years old and has been exposed to livestocksince birth. He's naturally shy with new people but has never shown an ounce of aggression; he's never even growled. He is the most gentle giant. True to his guardian instincts, he keeps predators away and thrives in a working environment with livestock. He has worked with sheep, a small group of cows, goats, and poultry. Spot needs a property where he can do the job he was born for and a person who will give him time, patience, and consistency. His parents are purebred, and he’s healthy, well-mannered with a ton of potential.

Story
Moby is a lovable and energetic boy who would thrive in an active home. His story is as heartwarming as it is inspiring. He was dumped at a post office along with his littermates, but his resilient spirit has never wavered. If you are looking for a loyal, fun loving companion who is always up for an adventure, Moby is ready to meet you!He has a playful side that shines when he gets to chew on his favorite toys, especially bones. He also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball! He is eager to find a forever home that can keep up with his playful energy and shower him with the love and attention he deserves.Like many rescues, he still has a few things he is working on. He can be a little nervous around men, but with patience and understanding, he continues to improve. He does best with supervision during playtime with other dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. He will also need a cat and child free environment. He graduated from a month long prison program training on 4/3! He got an A+ report and learned so much from his time there. The prison offers life long training recaps after adoption which is a great way to keep up with training. He is at the shelter in Fort Lupton. If you are interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application on our website and head to the shelter to meet this sweet boy! Please email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!

Story
The name’s Bond. James Bond. This gorgeous, blue-eyed, beauty is 12 weeks old and he’s on the hunt for his forever home. Bond is a total sweetheart loves to snuggle up with his peeps….quite unusual for a Pyrenees mix. This handsome mug is doing well with his crate training. He even uses a doggie door and can often be found with his front half out monitoring his yard and his back half in (just can’t quite commit). He’s a character. Bond is in foster with dogs of all sizes and he does well with each. His foster home has horses and chickens (in a coop) and he seems to be a friend to all. He joined MHCR with his mom and brothers from a high intake shelter in New Mexico. James is looking for a home with a large, fenced in yard. Adopters should be mindful of the sweet, loyal, yet independent nature of the Great Pyrenees. James Bond is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/james-bond/. Story
Timber didn’t have the best start in life, but over the past month in foster care he has completely transformed! He’s blossomed into a healthy, hefty-thicc boy with a big personality to match. Timber is happy, bouncy, playful, and endlessly curious. He’s doing great with his house manners and has been wonderful with other canine friends, as well as the human kids in his foster home. True to his Pyrenees roots, Timber has found his voice and isn’t shy about using it to share his needs and opinions—he’s got things to say! Because of this (and his size), he’ll need a home with a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. Timber is ready to bring love, laughs, and loyal companionship to his forever family. He’s presently around 12 weeks old. Timber is in foster in Loveland, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/timber You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
"Dreaming of life with a cuddly polar bear? Teddy might be the next best thing. With his fluffy looks and gentle soul, Teddy is a big, lovable boy who’s all about comfort, companionship, and being close to his people. Don’t let his livestock-guardian appearance fool you—Teddy already tried the farm life and decided it wasn’t his style. This guy is firmly team indoors. Despite being raised on a farm, Teddy has transitioned beautifully to home life. He’s fully housetrained, sleeps near his humans day and night, and thrives on being part of the family. Photos don’t quite capture just how tall and long Teddy is, so he’s hoping for a home with enough space to stretch out and relax. He also has a big, impressive voice, which means apartment or shared-wall living wouldn’t be the right fit for him. Teddy enjoys going for walks and likes to stick close to his foster mom’s side. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs—both big and small—but would also be perfectly happy soaking up all of your attention. He’s great with children, too, though his affectionate leaning could accidentally topple very little ones. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be near you, Teddy is ready to make your home his forever home." Teddy is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/teddy/. Story
Meet Hazel ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Hazel is a spayed, 8 month old female Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix, currently weighing around 60lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Looking for a goofy, sweet ball of floof? Then Hazel is your girl! This adorable puppy LOVES other dogs, toys and food. She is crate and potty trained and has done well around the older kids she’s met. Because she wants ALL of the toys, older kids may be a better fit in her new home. Hazel would love an active family to help her burn off her puppy energy and to help her with basic manners and training. She’ll entertain you with her antics and house parkour and will make sure dinner is always right on time! Please let us know if Hazel could be your new best friend and adventure buddy! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** We do not know Hazel’s exact breed but we suspect she will be a large dog once fully grown. Her best fit will be with a family that understands what it means to raise a big, active pup into a well-mannered adult. We’re looking for adopters who will provide her with regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of outlets for exercise, play, and enrichment. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. If you work outside of the home longer than 4 hours, please explain who will is available to spend time with this puppy while you are away. If that information is not included, we will not consider your application. Interested in applying to adopt her?
