Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Adoption donation $499 weight  84 lbs Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024          Logan is a friendly and sweet boy whose father was a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom was a 35 lbs mixed breed. Logan loves to run and play, he is good with all the dogs in his foster home and he is house trained, but like any rescue  may need some training and patience while he settles in at a new home.       Logan loves toys and bones and attaches strongly to his person, he will follow his Foster Mom around and likes to lie at her feet. He also loves to lay his big head on your lap!           Logan’s original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors.        Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time.       Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for  Logan to find a loving home of his own. Logan  would love a yard to run around in or  another dog to play with. He has  been around children and has been fine with them, he just loves to be part of the family, All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Name: JasperAge: Under 2Breed: Anatolian Shepherd MixDogs: YesCats: TBDKids: Over 5Our buddy Jasper is ready to find his forever home! Jasper was found roaming and kept safe by a good Samaritan until our neighbors at animal control could get there to help. His owners never came forward to claim Jasper, and he's now with MHS and we couldn't be more thrilled! This big guy is incredibly sweet and loves everyone who crosses his path! This is one handsome pup, Jasper gets stopped everywhere he goes and gets complimented about how handsome he is, just check out those baby blues!Jasper is a free spirit, who loves his walks, car rides, chasing the occasional butterfly, playing with his toys, occasionally forgets his size and thinks he's a lapdog, and is just an all around goofy, sweet pup!Jasper is very well behaved, likes other dogs, is good with kids, but due to his size, we are saying over 5 because he is still a bit of a puppy so can get a little overly excited when playing, but who can blame the guy.Jasper is UTD on his vaccinations, neutered, and micro-chipped.If you think you are Jasper's forever family, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
