Story
Everest is a giant baby who loves cuddles, sleeping on a queen size bed and more cuddles. She is nervous around slick floors, but treats get her pretty much anywhere. She is protective around the house, yet very friendly with strangers. Loves kids and playing with her sister Dandy. She has learned a lot of commands, including sit, stay, come, crate, comida, down. She gets anxious when seeing other dogs around the house and is vocal though usually just wants to play.

Story
Meet Simba. Simba was dumped in our neighborhood which is very rural. We first noticed him when he walked up the driveway one morning. As soon as we headed towards him, he ran away. Poor thing was scared out of his mind and very confused. He had just been dumped by his family and he had no idea where he was. We set up our biggest live trap and then we waited. The first night, we caught the neighbor's cat. The second night we caught a gorgeous red fox. Third night was a charm, there he was bright and early in the morning. He did NOT want to come out of the cage so we had to lift the cage and bring into the back yard. Took him a while but he eventually came out. The first thing he did as we approached him was roll over on his back! To this day, as soon as anybody goes to him, boom, on his back he goes! He is such a gentle giant, tolerates anybody and anything, including our crazy Chihuahuas who chase him all the time! We had no idea what his breed mix was so we did a DNA on him. Pyrenees is the predominant breed but he also has Bulldog, Golden, Lab and even 5% Chihuahua if you can believe that! He is neutered, heat worm negative, fully vaccinated and ready for transport. Simba is truly a gem! ADOPTION FEE $500

Story
Ezekiel (Zeke) will be four years old on Nov. 1. We received him as a gift from our son at Christmastime in 2020. Zeke is a great dog. He is gentle, has been professionally trained (when he was six months old), and is very well behaved. He's just bored. We dont have any animals for him to take care of, and he seems to be really wanting a job to do. He'll need a securely fenced yard, as GP's are infamous escape artists. He hasn't gotten out in a long time--just noting, the fencing needs to be secure. Zeke would love to have a female companion, but would likely not do well with another male dog. Currently, I would not trust him around cats. He walks amazingly well on leash, knows how to heel, and does not pull, if walked correctly. He likes to hang out indoors when its too hot or too cold, but if there is a barn or other shelter where other animals are, that would probably suffice. Great with children. Super gentle. Great with people. Not aggressive. Intimidating bark.

Story
Curious Civic is our most handsome freckled face, 80 lbs. Great Pyrenees mix boy that is just so laid-back guy that is just so wonderful to consider for an adoption.  He has a beautiful blue eye and that could be from so many different breed mixtures that influence his good looks.   This boy is under a year of age and at times can be dog selective if there is an alpha that tries to dominate him.  He is just won’t take being pushed around.  Most Great Pyrs will not.  It is their breed and nature of the breed. He walks great on a leash, enjoys car rides and has a nice disposition that is loving and mild mannered.  He would be a wonderful couch companion for watching anything YOU want on TV.  He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro chipped If you are interested in this boy please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready to go! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 13, 2024, 7:19 pm

Story
It is Real everyone!   The puppies being born that don’t have a place in life is very real!!!   These 11 Great Pyrenees puppies need our help and Critter Cavalry Rescue has stepped up to help them find a good place to land for their future safety and wellbeing.  There used to be 31 of these Puppies who were born to 3 momma dogs that were not spayed.  Livestock guardian Great Pyrs who were NOT spayed and all had pups within Weeks of each other.  The local animal shelter was called about the dire situation and gave a deadline to remove them from the property or they would return to euthanize as a solution.  The shelter would not take them due to overcrowding.  So…a concerned man who knew the senior Farmer, started taking puppies to Tractor Supply and other places to try and get them homes so they would not be destroyed by animal control.  He found homes for 20.  Now there are just 11 left and he discovered that if he made phone calls to rescues, maybe someone would help.  That is what Critter Cavalry Rescue is doing NOW.  But we need help to break these pups up and put in to foster homes or forever families as soon as Possible.  They are all living right now in a small backyard and it is really crowded.  They are getting their vaccines and wormings and over the next Few weeks they will be spayed and neutered.  If you are in the Nashville, TN or close, please help us with fostering.  If you are in the northeast, we can use your help too.   EMAIL US:  ccrtennessee@gmail.com    If you cannot adopt or foster, we could certainly  use donations of food or funds for making sure their vetting is done soon.  We are spaying the moms ASAP and looking for homes for them too.  They are only 1 year old and have been great goat guardians on the acreage they have lived on.  Desperate Times…Desperate Need to help them.  They are loving and shy as the breed typically is. They just need some personal one on one hugs.   NOW.
