Story
Elton – A Gentle Giant in the Making   Elton is a handsome Great Pyrenees mix puppy born on October 18, and as of today (December 21), he is just over 9 weeks old and already 17 pounds. He’s growing fast, but his sweet, thoughtful personality is what truly stands out. This little guy is already doing so well with potty training. Elton can go 4–5 hours overnight without accidents and sweetly lets his foster know when he needs to go outside with a soft little whine. He’s the kind of puppy who watches, learns, and genuinely wants to do the right thing. Elton is a true snuggle lover, happiest when he’s curled up sleeping next to his people or tucked in beside his brother. When he’s awake, his adventurous side shines as he explores the house and backyard, carefully taking in the world around him. He’s playful and enjoys toys and wrestling with his brother, but he approaches new people, dogs, and situations with a gentle caution that only adds to his charm.  With an activity level around 4/10, Elton is an easygoing puppy who enjoys playtime but is just as content relaxing and soaking up love. He’s the kind of dog who feels like he belongs with you almost immediately.  Elton is looking for a family who will guide him as he grows into the loyal, gentle companion he’s meant to be—and who will love him as much as he loves being close. Story
North is our Gentle Soul   Meet North, a Great Pyrenees mix boy born in mid-October who already carries the calm wisdom of an old soul in a fluffy puppy body. In his short time in the world, North has experienced a variety of environments, people, and situations — and he has handled every single one with quiet confidence and an open heart. To North, everyone he meets is simply a friend he hasn’t been properly introduced to yet. His Pyrenees mama’s influence shines through beautifully in his laid-back, steady personality. North enjoys playful moments, but he’s just as happy slowly following his foster mom from room to room, keeping her company and observing the world around him. And if there’s a lap nearby? He’s absolutely convinced it was placed there just for him — even though he’s expected to grow into a big boy of at least 80 pounds one day and may never accept that he’s not meant to be a lap puppy forever. North radiates a soothing, peaceful energy that makes you instantly feel at ease. He’s the kind of dog who seems to sense when you need comfort, making him a wonderful candidate for someone seeking a steady emotional support companion. This isn’t a nonstop, high-energy puppy who needs constant action — North is perfect for someone who values connection, loyalty, and quiet companionship. He’s off to a great start with potty training and shows a strong preference for doing his business outside in the grass. With regular outings, accidents are rare, and his intelligence and eagerness to please make it clear he’ll continue to thrive with guidance and consistency.  North is the kind of puppy who doesn’t just grow into a dog — he grows into your dog. Loyal, loving, calm, and deeply devoted, he’s simply waiting for the person or family lucky enough to call him home.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you need this boy in your life   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Jack Junior has a heart full of Joy and ready for his special person to raise him right. Here is his story and plea: Hi there! My name is Junior, but once you meet me, you’ll understand why my friends call me 'Jumping' Jack Junior. I greet life with enthusiasm, joy, and a whole lot of bounce. I’m an 18-month-old Great Pyrenees mix boy with a gorgeous fluffy coat, an irresistibly curly tail, and a happy spirit that just wants to belong. I currently weigh around 60 pounds and expect to top out around 65–70 pounds once I’m fully grown. While I may look like a big teddy bear, I’m still a young dog learning how the world works—and I’ve had to learn it the hard way. My senior owner lost her home, and suddenly I found myself in a shelter in Texas along with other animals. That kind of loss and change was confusing and unsettling, and I bounced between foster homes trying to figure out what was expected of me. The good news? I’m now thriving. I’m living full-time with a professional trainer who welcomed me into her home and gave me what I had been missing all along: structure, consistency, and clear leadership. With calm boundaries and daily guidance, I’ve learned how to respond appropriately to the world around me. I’ve made huge strides, and my trainer says I’m ready to move forward with the right person or family. I do best with confident, experienced dog owners who understand the importance of leadership and routine. I need a securely fenced yard, regular exercise, and continued structure. I would do best as the only dog in the home and in a family with older children who can respect my space and training. With the right setup, I will form a deep, loyal bond and become a truly special companion. My trainer loves me deeply and is committed to my success—she will happily be a resource and support system for my future family whenever needed. If you’re an active, dog-savvy person looking for a joyful, intelligent companion who is ready to blossom in the right hands, I might be your boy. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask questions and request an application.
