King is a handsome 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees Male. He has a fluffy white coat with some tan on his ears. King is sweet boy who gets along great with other dogs of all ages and sizes. He loves people, and is a gentle guy! King is potty trained in his foster home, but his new family should be prepared for a few accidents while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. King was found in rural Texas, abandoned on the outskirts of town along with two other dogs. He was being shot at with BB guns by the land owner in an attempt to get him to leave. Thankfully he was rescued, and brought to us to find him a better life in WI. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. King is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. His adoption fee is $750, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He enjoys long walks, but really likes to lounge around outside in the sun. In the home, Vinnie would be best as an only pet because he does get jealous. Out and about, Vinnie absolutely loves meeting other dogs, cats, and even ferrets! Vinnie is house trained and is working on crate training, but would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not. Meet Sunshine Louise! This beautiful Anatolian Shepard/Great Pyrenees mix is super sweet and wants to be your best friend. She currently weights about 90 lbs. She is house trained (she will ring bells on the back door to go outside). She is very well behaved and does not require a crate indoors. Sunshine is a very, very laid back girl….until she feels the need to guard her home. We are unsure of her age, but the guess is around 6 years old. She is smart and very treat motivated. She loves to go on walks especially first thing in the morning and after the sun goes down. She LOVES people and kids! She is good with other dogs as long as they respect her boundaries. She easily integrates into a pack, but remains kind of a loner. She is spayed, (after having 10 puppies), microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She has also completed Heart Worm treatment. Sunshine loves belly rubs and pets. She will look lovingly and longingly into your eyes like she knows that her life has been saved and she is so very grateful. She is a very calm girl who prefers to lay on the cool floor. She is a “guardian” breed and will quietly take up a position (usually in a doorway) and just relax. She knows basic commands but does have a stubborn streak. Usually a treat will encourage her to follow your directions. Sunshine does have a high prey drive, so no cats or tiny toy breeds please. She also has a history of fence jumping to pursue wildlife, so a privacy fence would be ideal.
