Meet Scrum!  He is a 3 month old bundle of love! His mom is only about 30 lbs, but it is suspected that dad may be a Great Pyr. When full grown, he will likely be at least 50 lbs. He is very social and loves to play but also loves to snuggle and cuddle. He is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping him continue his training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. He would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep him from getting bored. Scrum is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. Scrum will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives prior to adoption. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Scrum is located in North Alabama. Story
King is a handsome 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees Male. He has a fluffy white coat with some tan on his ears. King is sweet boy who gets along great with other dogs of all ages and sizes. He loves people, and is a gentle guy! King is potty trained in his foster home, but his new family should be prepared for a few accidents while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. King was found in rural Texas, abandoned on the outskirts of town along with two other dogs. He was being shot at with BB guns by the land owner in an attempt to get him to leave. Thankfully he was rescued, and brought to us to find him a better life in WI. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. King is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. His adoption fee is $750, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. We cannot guarantee breed or age. We assign breed and age designations based on veterinary advice and information from the prior owner.

Vinnie would love to meet you! In fact, he loves meeting everybody! This hefty boy enjoys being around his family and meeting new friends too. He enjoys long walks, but really likes to lounge around outside in the sun. In the home, Vinnie would be best as an only pet because he does get jealous. Out and about, Vinnie absolutely loves meeting other dogs, cats, and even ferrets! Vinnie is house trained and is working on crate training, but would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not. Overall, Vinnie's such a great dog, and would be a perfect candidate to take out with you wherever you go- baseball game? Easy! Outdoor bar? Perfect! Vinnie will be your best buddy, and make new friends wherever he goes. He is the perfect wingman! Recently in November 2022, Vinnie underwent some tests due to chronic tummy issues and it was discovered he has a fiber responsive irritable bowel syndrome. Vinnie is on a special food to help, and this food does cost approximately $100/month. We know this may deter many families, but know Vinnie is so worth it and will find the right people willing to do whatever it takes to care for this special boy!   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on April 26th and arrive on April 27th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 4/17/2024 Dog Name: Wedo Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Great Pyrenees Mix Approximate Age: 1 year old Approximate Weight: 65-70 lbs. Description: This gorgeous boy is so full of love and life!Wedo is sweet and loves to play, he has made many doggy friends and can’t wait to find his forever family! Adoption Fee: $400.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. April 23, 2024, 11:36 pm

Story
Meet Sunshine Louise! This beautiful Anatolian Shepard/Great Pyrenees mix is super sweet and wants to be your best friend. She currently weights about 90 lbs. She is house trained (she will ring bells on the back door to go outside). She is very well behaved and does not require a crate indoors. Sunshine is a very, very laid back girl….until she feels the need to guard her home. We are unsure of her age, but the guess is around 6 years old. She is smart and very treat motivated. She loves to go on walks especially first thing in the morning and after the sun goes down. She LOVES people and kids! She is good with other dogs as long as they respect her boundaries. She easily integrates into a pack, but remains kind of a loner. She is spayed, (after having 10 puppies), microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She has also completed Heart Worm treatment. Sunshine loves belly rubs and pets. She will look lovingly and longingly into your eyes like she knows that her life has been saved and she is so very grateful. She is a very calm girl who prefers to lay on the cool floor. She is a “guardian” breed and will quietly take up a position (usually in a doorway) and just relax. She knows basic commands but does have a stubborn streak. Usually a treat will encourage her to follow your directions. Sunshine does have a high prey drive, so no cats or tiny toy breeds please. She also has a history of fence jumping to pursue wildlife, so a privacy fence would be ideal. If you would like to meet this precious girl and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Sunshine is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.
