This girl is the total package when it comes to manners and home life. She’s fully housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate, walks beautifully on leash, and doesn’t chew or destroy things in the home. She thrives on routine, is affectionate without being clingy, and will quietly lay nearby while you work, relax, or move through your day. She has a love for adventure, particularly water, long hikes, and car rides!! Wanda is friendly and social with dogs out in the world. But when it comes to her home space, she prefers a quieter life where she doesn’t have to share her people. She’ll do best as the only dog in the home, where she can be your loyal companion and soak up all the love for herself. Wanda is not a fan of cats as she’s a bit too curious. A feline-free home is a must. A fenced yard would be a nice bonus for Wanda, but it's not required. What Wanda really wants is a steady, loving home where she can finally relax and be part of a family... her family. Apply online: HBWI.org. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Kaleb is one of the lucky little survivors and he has been making the most of his second chance. Kaleb is the sweetest little floppy pup with the most squish-able face you will ever see. He does wonderfully with kids and thrives when he has other doggy role models. He is learning every day that he is safe and loved! Kaleb naps hard after any adventure and is discovering more about the world every day. He listens beautifully to gentle corrections and is already getting the hang of recall, which is very impressive for such a young pup! He is almost fully potty trained! Crate time can still be stressful for him because he would much rather curl up beside you to sleep, but he is improving. He has mastered sit and is now learning come, lay down and has become a pro at walking on the leash. Kaleb is such a gentle and sweet boy who will do anything for a treat. He is a breeze to train and makes the cutest little puppy grunts when he knows a treat is coming. Some of his favorite things include pouncing on toys, chewing on bones, drinking any water he can find, and melting into neck scratches. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. Kong is a BIG boy that loves to be outside and playing with other dogs. He is potty trained and lays nicely in his kennel at the shelter when inside. He is a Great Pyrenees mix so when and if he is outside he can be serious about his guarding duties and will bark at anything he hears or sees. But inside is quiet. She is potty trained and will go in a crate - but tells you about how much she doesn't like being in there by barking - so she will need some desensitization around the crate. Does well on a leash with some positive reinforcement that things aren't as scary as they may seem. She is so soft and fluffy and an all around sweetheart! ##2581012##

Great Pyrenees = EXCELLENT Farm Dog Have a big Great Pyrenees ready to go to work protecting your flock and property. At about 135lbs, he's not a lap dog, go-fetch dog or a kids riding toy. He keeps the coyotes far away from my chickens and plays well with my other dog. He does not appreciate strangers roaming about the property either. Ideal home for him would be a large fenced in area and living with the animals you need protected. He was Vet checked in Sept and up to date on his rabies shots. Looks like a pure bred but has no papers. He's about 4-5 years old and has been neutered. Larger dog on right in picture is being offered rehoming fee is to cover listing cost and misc... I'd list him free, but want to ensure he goes to a good home that will give him a good life
