Story
Some dogs just get it—they move through the world with quiet grace, calm energy, and the kind of loyal heart that makes every day better. That’s Wanda. This girl is the total package when it comes to manners and home life. She’s fully housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate, walks beautifully on leash, and doesn’t chew or destroy things in the home. She thrives on routine, is affectionate without being clingy, and will quietly lay nearby while you work, relax, or move through your day. She has a love for adventure, particularly water, long hikes, and car rides!! Wanda is friendly and social with dogs out in the world. But when it comes to her home space, she prefers a quieter life where she doesn’t have to share her people. She’ll do best as the only dog in the home, where she can be your loyal companion and soak up all the love for herself. Wanda is not a fan of cats as she’s a bit too curious. A feline-free home is a must. A fenced yard would be a nice bonus for Wanda, but it's not required. What Wanda really wants is a steady, loving home where she can finally relax and be part of a family... her family. Apply online: HBWI.org. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on July 2nd and arrive on July 3rd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 6/25/2025 Dog Name: Kenai Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix Approximate Age: 3 months Approximate Weight: 12-16 lbs Litter Name: Polar Bear Litter Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet spayed (too young) Description: This beautiful fluffy litter was found out in the country hiding in the barn with their mother, our Texas rescue partners stepped in so they would not have a grim fate as their small town (population of approximately 40 people) does not have an animal shelter or any resources! These sweet puppies are all so smart and they have the funniest little personalities! They are so SOFT! These babies are learning to be playful puppies and are ready to find their forever homes in Wisconsin! We are sure they will be very gentle in nature due to their breed.  Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. June 25, 2025, 11:34 pm

Story
Zelda spent her first 4 years on a farm with no other dogs, guarding chickens and goats. I was told she never lost one, so she is a great protector of things. Her owners never socialized her, probably thinking it would diminish her working skills. When the downsized, she had to find somewhere to go, and with no social skills, she went to a foster that will slowly work with dogs like her, where she has been since Fed 2025. She is docile and avoids people interaction but is very submissive when handled. She has never tried to bite. She loves other animals but doesn't play, unless it's another pyrenees. She wants in the house at night to sleep, for weather., and heat. She lives Milk bones. But wont take them from your hand, you have to throw them two feet in front of her. She likes being groomed but still have to corner her in her "safe space" for that. Just a beautiful girl, strong. Protective, silent type. She sleeps in the kitchen by the exterior door every night, her place of choice. Still wont sleep on a dog bed, just a cold hard floor. If an independent security dog is your wish, she is it. A fence with her is a must. Doesn't need a lot of a yard, but pyrs need defined boundaries or they will claim every house around. If you are interested in adopting Zelda please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. She is being fostered in Huntsville AL

Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Hello! My name is Smoky and I’m part of the Mountain Range litter. I am 4-1/2 months old and a Great Pyrenees mix. I’m currently 30 lbs. of pure sweetness. Every day, my foster mom tells me how handsome I am. Do you think so too? I love playing with humans, doggie friends, and love kitties. When I’m not playing, I entertain myself with a bone or toy. I can often be found relaxing on a chair or outside in the grass. I sleep quietly in my crate and I’m doing very well at potty training for my age. I like to use the bell on the door to let someone know I want to go outside. I also know basic commands like sit, stay, leave it, and down. I’m a very smart boy and like to please my humans. If you are looking for a faithful friend who is very easy-going, look no further. I am your boy!Apply at https://www.jrspupsnstuff.org/ or respond to your approval email and state you want to meet Smoky. I am part of the Mountain Range Litter. I’m such a sweet and happy puppy. I’m working hard on potty training and I sleep through the night in my crate. I’m also learning to walk on a harness and I learned sit this week. I’m very food motivated and smart so training should be a breeze. I am your typical puppy otherwise.
