Story
Some dogs just get it—they move through the world with quiet grace, calm energy, and the kind of loyal heart that makes every day better. That’s Wanda. This girl is the total package when it comes to manners and home life. She’s fully housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate, walks beautifully on leash, and doesn’t chew or destroy things in the home. She thrives on routine, is affectionate without being clingy, and will quietly lay nearby while you work, relax, or move through your day. She has a love for adventure, particularly water, long hikes, and car rides!! Wanda is friendly and social with dogs out in the world. But when it comes to her home space, she prefers a quieter life where she doesn’t have to share her people. She’ll do best as the only dog in the home, where she can be your loyal companion and soak up all the love for herself. Wanda is not a fan of cats as she’s a bit too curious. A feline-free home is a must. A fenced yard would be a nice bonus for Wanda, but it's not required. What Wanda really wants is a steady, loving home where she can finally relax and be part of a family... her family. Apply online: HBWI.org. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Winston is a super sweet 1.5 year old dog who is very big and goofy. He loves dogs, adults, and kids! We don’t have the time to commit to training him as we are both in school and work full time. He is a Great Pyrenees mix who was rescued from Texas. He is vetted, neutered, and potty trained. He is very sweet, loves to give kisses, and is an amazing snuggler. Winston is sometime unaware of his size and may give you the pyr paw so families with older children would be best with Winston. He also is not the most graceful and may accidentally knock a younger child over if excited. Although, my boyfriend’s 4 year old nephew was over for a weekend and they did great and he was very gentle! I am looking to rehome him to another home where there is another dog for him to play with, a fenced in yard, and experience with Great Pyrenees (Or similar breeds) We love Winston very much but we just do not have the time he deserves unfortunately

Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Dove, the superfloof. 😍Dove is a 3 month old Great Pyrenees mix, weighing roughly 35lbs. (She's going to be a big girl!) She's as cute as a button, and as sweet as your favorite treat!Dove is an excellent companion. Working outside? She's on it. Sitting at your desk? She'll be right at your feet. Taking a nap or watching a movie on the couch? Better scoot over- she'll want to share the covers! Dove loves making new friends! She can be a little shy at first, so slow intros are best, but it doesn't take her long to warm up at all! She enjoys spending her days playing with her foster doggy siblings, and is great with children of any age. She's young enough that she could learn to do great with dog savvy kitties as well!Dove was left to fend for herself on a busy road, with no food or water. Her family no longer wanting or taking care of her. So after a little TLC, and lots of nose kisses, all Dove wants is to find the perfect family to take care of her, and love her unconditionally....and she'll love you right back!Do you think you and/or your family could be the perfect fit for this precious girl? Head on over and fill out an application today! Just ask for Dove! ❤️Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org to fill out an application to adopt. You can find information for volunteering and donations on our site as well.
