Story
We are on the payroll for loads of petting! That’s a pretty easy gig if you want our opinion. We went to a couple of community event and were told we both did a great job interacting with people of all ages and doggies. We were very patient with everyone and even got to spend some time relaxing in people’s lap. So we can’t wait to join a family, maybe even getting adopted with my sibling. Don’t forget that the second adoption fee is 50% off for Double the Love, Double the Fun! Sandy and Simon

Story
MEET MAGGIE MARGARET Maggie Margaret is a gorgeous 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a fluffy white coat and a gentle, loving soul. She’s not a working dog—Maggie is all about being part of the family. Her favorite pastime? Nesting into a cozy pile of blankets and soaking up the comfort of home life. This sweet girl craves attention and closeness with her people. She’s crate trained, calm, and happiest when she’s inside with the family—not left outside on her own. Maggie would thrive in a home where she’s treated as a true companion. • Age: 2 years • Breed: Great Pyrenees mix • Temperament: Affectionate, calm, and people-focused • Coat: Fluffy, white, and beautiful • Lifestyle: Indoor family dog, not suited for working or outdoor-only living • House habits: Crate trained, loves to burrow into blankets Maggie Margaret is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Transport is available to approved adopters in the Midwest and Northeast. All Connie’s Canine Rescue dogs are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption. Story
**Angel: A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold!**"Hello, wonderful humans! I'm Angel, and I'm ready to bring a touch of sweetness and a whole lot of love into your life. At one year old, I'm a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix (about 74%, they tell me!) with a gentle spirit and a heart that's just bursting with affection.I absolutely adore snuggling with my humans, and I have the best manners! I sit politely, offer a gentle paw for attention, and when I get really excited, I give the cutest little smile. I'm a laid-back kind of gal, a bit of a hippy chick, if you will, and I love spending time outdoors, especially on my foster family's little hobby farm.I get along great with kids, cats, and small dogs, though sometimes my puppy enthusiasm can be a bit much for the seniors! I'm a social butterfly and love making new friends, especially at doggy daycare! I enjoy having matching collar and leash sets, soft fuzzy bedding, chew toys, and stuffies of all sizes – I believe every dog deserves the finer things in life!I walk well on a leash, though I'm still working on my manners and sometimes get a little excited. And I'm proud to say I'm potty trained! I was adopted as a puppy, but my family had to move to an apartment, which wasn't the right fit for me. I'm looking for a loving home with a yard and humans who have the time to give me the exercise and attention I need.I’m a playful girl and love other dogs that share my play style. I get along wonderfully with my 34-pound foster sibling. I’ve been enjoying my time in doggy daycare and love to play. Now, I do have a bit of a wiggle in my step sometimes, and the vet has noted a mild hip dysplasia and luxating patella. We're keeping a close eye on it, and I'll be going back for a re-check soon to make sure everything's still looking good. While I generally love to play and move, I do favor my leg at times, and it's possible I might need surgery in the future. To make sure I'm in tip-top shape, I'm up to date on my vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and have had my Bordetella shot. My adoption fee is $500.**A Note to Potential Adopters:**"All adopters must be prepared to provide a loving and supportive home, including ongoing training, appropriate exercise, and continued veterinary care."**To apply to adopt Angel, please scamper on over to www.biggiepawsrescue.org and fill out an application! I'm waiting with paws crossed!**P.S. I'm a sweet and gentle soul, and I can't wait to find my forever family!"DATCP # 494550

Story
Zelda spent her first 4 years on a farm with no other dogs, guarding chickens and goats. I was told she never lost one, so she is a great protector of things. Her owners never socialized her, probably thinking it would diminish her working skills. When the downsized, she had to find somewhere to go, and with no social skills, she went to a foster that will slowly work with dogs like her, where she has been since Fed 2025. She is docile and avoids people interaction but is very submissive when handled. She has never tried to bite. She loves other animals but doesn't play, unless it's another pyrenees. She wants in the house at night to sleep, for weather., and heat. She lives Milk bones. But wont take them from your hand, you have to throw them two feet in front of her. She likes being groomed but still have to corner her in her "safe space" for that. Just a beautiful girl, strong. Protective, silent type. She sleeps in the kitchen by the exterior door every night, her place of choice. Still wont sleep on a dog bed, just a cold hard floor. If an independent security dog is your wish, she is it. A fence with her is a must. Doesn't need a lot of a yard, but pyrs need defined boundaries or they will claim every house around. If you are interested in adopting Zelda please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. She is being fostered in Huntsville AL

Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.
