Update 6/14/26 from her foster home: Gigi is a sweet gentle soul who's looking for her forever home. Estimated to be around 6-7 years old she's a calm easy-going companion who loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa next to her person. Despite having limited vision due to cataract. Gigi gets around remarkably well. She listens for your footsteps and follows you from room to room can use the stairs and is great on walks. Her adaptability is amazing and everyone who meets her falls in love because she's so cute gentle and fluffy. What makes Gigi special is she's quiet well mannered and rarely barks. She's cuddly and trusting and just wants to be near you. She's dog friendly and does great with other dogs and feels most secure with a canine companion. She's house trained and an easy eater. Friendly with everyone she meets people and dogs alike. What she needs is a quiet home. Her limited eyesight makes her sensitive to loud or sudden noises so a calm neighborhood is ideal. She'll also need a future spay and potential cataract surgery can help fix her vision and continued eye supplements. She also has a small lump on her stomach which hasn't grown but should be tested. Since arriving in her foster's home Gigi has gained healthy weight and her coat has grown back soft and fluffy. Early vet tests didn't show signs of diabetes or other health issues. She's a happy healthy girl who just needs someone to call her own. FFR has already invested thousands into her early vet care and is fundraising for cataract surgery and dental care. The shelter person told us that she was maybe about 4-5 yrs old and very friendly. Great with dog buddy in her kennel. One shelter staff person said she didn't notice all the medical needs that Gigi has. Gigi was neglected matted and very dirty with bad smell. Dog friendly. When she went to our vet he told us she is older and that she needed dental and had some gum inflammation has lump on belly (need to remove & biopsy) not spayed and has double cataracts (vet did eye dye tests). Blood and urine tests shows no diabetes which can cause cataracts. Vet gave her eye drops. She has poor vision but sees light and large objects. She is getting around fine at her foster home and does great on walks. She can manage going up and down stairs. We have spent over $1000 so far on first exam eye blood & urine tests shave down/bath medications and all her vet care. Healthy foods eye vitamins and drops have help her. Healthier and sees well. I’m surprised by her everyday! She’s able to get around quite easily on her own despite the occasional light booping against my leg or a wall. She listens for my footsteps and able to follow me around. She’s quiet and easy going. Friendly with other dogs and everyone we meet on the street. I’m amazed by how easily she’s adapted to San Francisco streets. Her poor eyesight doesn’t seem to be slowing her down. She’s trusting cuddly and just likes to be nearby. Hi, I'm Wiggles!  I'm about 1 year old, and I got my name because I'm one of the happiest girls around! Life hasn't always been easy. I was found as a stray with severely matted fur and painful foxtails embedded in my skin. Thankfully, some kind people helped me, and now I'm safe with Every Pet's Dream. Don't worry about my haircut. It'll grow back! My old family never came looking for me, but that's okay. My friends at Every Pet's Dream promised me a bright future, and now I'm looking for a family of my very own. Her puppy-like enthusiasm can be a little pushy for some dogs. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?   NA Commands they know?    We're just beginning to work on basic commands. She's very puppy-like and motivated to learn.  We were practicing "lay down,"  “come,” or “come here,” and she did really well.  We could call her from across the house and say, "Come here," and she would come. What are their favorite things?    Wiggles loves cuddling with her favorite humans, playing with all kinds of toys, and going for walks to explore. What do they need to work on?   She needs basic training and manners. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?    Wiggles has been left home alone for up to six hours at a time and has done very well. She is crate-trained and settles comfortably in her crate whenever she cannot be supervised. Where do they sleep?    In her crate What is their ideal home?  Wiggles would thrive in an adult home or one with respectful children ages 12 and up. She is young, playful, and ready to learn with positive training. She loves all kinds of toys, is affectionate, and enjoys cuddling with her people. We have a transport leaving either on July 30th or August 9th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. Sophie was one of those dogs. At 4 years old and weighing just 9.8 pounds, this beautiful Havanese/Poodle mix had every reason to look at the world with uncertainty. Instead, she chooses joy. She wakes up each morning grateful for another day, another cuddle, another chance to simply be loved, and it’s impossible not to feel that gratitude the moment you’re around her. When Sophie first arrived in our care, we immediately knew something wasn’t right. She had blood in her urine, and after an extensive veterinary workup, including X-rays, we discovered she was living with five large bladder stones that required immediate surgery. It broke our hearts knowing she had likely been living in pain for quite some time. Thankfully, our incredible veterinary team was able to remove every one of her bladder stones. During the same procedure, Sophie was also spayed, received a complete dental cleaning, was microchipped, and brought current on all of her vaccinations. Because of the severity of her condition, we also performed bloodwork to ensure her kidneys had not been affected. To our relief, every value came back completely normal. Two weeks later, her follow-up urinalysis came back perfect as well. While there is always a possibility that bladder stones can return, Sophie has been set up for success. She is now on a prescription diet and, with routine veterinary checkups and periodic urinalyses, any future concerns can be caught early, allowing her to continue living the healthy, happy, pain-free life she deserves. Her previous owner simply could not afford the medical care she so desperately needed and ultimately walked away. We never measure a person’s love by their circumstances, but we are incredibly grateful we were able to step in when we did. Watching Sophie transform from a dog living in discomfort into one who greets each day with happiness has been one of the most rewarding journeys we’ve had the privilege of witnessing. There is something incredibly special about the way Sophie loves. She has a habit of gently placing her paw on your arm whenever she wants a little extra affection, and if you stop petting her too soon, she’ll softly paw at you again as if to say, “Just one more minute.” She looks up at the people she loves with complete admiration, patiently waiting to be invited closer, never demanding attention but always appreciating every bit of it. She is gentle, kind, and has a warmth about her that makes everyone she meets fall in love with her. Sophie is house trained and will politely tap at the door when she’d like to go outside. Once she’s finished, she’s happy to come right back in, although if you’re spending time in the yard gardening, enjoying your morning coffee, or simply relaxing outdoors, she’ll happily stretch out nearby and enjoy those quiet moments right beside you. She has incredible recall and quickly learned the name we gave her after arriving in our care. Today, every time you call for Sophie, she comes running with the sweetest smile, simply happy that someone is calling for her. She is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate each night, though she doesn’t require one. Whether you prefer she sleeps on her own bed or curled up beside you, she’ll be perfectly content with either. She has wonderful manners in the home, walks beautifully on a leash, rides exceptionally well in the car, and is always a favorite during her grooming appointments. She is not a barker and carries herself with a quiet confidence that makes living with her incredibly peaceful. Sophie loves everyone she meets, including men, women, and children. She is wonderful with other gentle, respectful dogs and does beautifully with cats as well. Because she isn’t a high-energy dog herself, she especially enjoys the company of animals who appreciate a calmer pace of life. At the same time, she would be just as happy becoming the center of someone’s world as an only pet. Sometimes rescue isn’t just about saving a life. Sometimes it’s about giving a life back. Sophie has already fought through the hardest part of her journey. Now she’s simply waiting for someone who will cherish every healthy, happy day still ahead of her. She will undoubtedly become your best friend, and while she will always benefit from routine veterinary monitoring and her prescription diet, that’s a very small commitment in exchange for the unconditional love she gives so freely.
