Peter came to us in heartbreaking shape after his owners abandoned him and MJ, leaving them to fend for themselves. Peter needed a tremendous amount of TLC, patience, and kindness before he could begin to feel safe again.Now he is ready for the next chapter of his life — one where he is cherished, cared for, and never left behind again. Peter’s ideal home will be an adult-only home with someone who is around more often than not. A retired couple would be wonderful for him, as he would love having his people nearby and enjoying a quiet, predictable life. An owner that will give him time and some space as he gets used to his new life would be perfect. He does best with another small female dog and that is recommended. Peter has been through enough. Meet Oliver! His owner called animal control wanting their aggressive dog picked up, and they arrived to find this guy cowering in the corner and a minor nip on the owner’s leg… they weren’t able to get much details except that they didn’t want the f-ing dog anymore and just take him 🤷‍♀️ He’s actually been a pretty nice happy guy, always smiling and dancing for attention, was perfect for us grooming him, likes other dogs, and we have been pleasantly surprised by how easy he is. He definitely seems to be foot-shy as if expecting to be kicked, and can growl guarding food and high value bones but nothing scary, somewhat needy and doesn’t like being ignored. Oliver is about 3 years old, 12 lbs and looks like some kind of googly eyed cavapoo or maybe havanese mix, appears to be non-shedding so will need regular grooming and has been neutered and updated on shots. He seems to really enjoy having doggie companions to hang out and play with and we think a home with another dog, or pack of dogs, might help boost his confidence. Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.
