Story
Welcome Sachi.  Sachi is a 15-pound, 11-week old Siberian Husky puppy who may just be the most husky, husky puppy ever!  She is sassy, curious and, at times, when she feels like it, very cuddly. Sachi is crate trained and darn near house trained.  Like many puppies she gets distracted while outside by things to play with and forgets to do her “business”.  Sachi will need someone to keep her focused on the task at hand until she is fully house trained.  Sachi does sleep in a crate at night and has not had any accidents.     Sachi is high energy and needs a high energy family. Huskies are stubborn Houdinis who can and will escape. They need a securely fenced yard and owners who are mindful of doors when opened. Huskies are also fiercely loyal and loving. The family who adopts Sachi will be a lucky one.  We are looking for an active family who has the time to train Sachi to be a wonderful family dog. If you have the time to continue training Sachi, are active and want an active companion, Sachi would love to meet you!! Prior to being adopted Sachi will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Sachi could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application* at https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/. *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. September 22, 2023, 9:51 pm

Story
June, while a bit on the older side, never slows down. She loves long walks, hikes, car rides, and adventure. She would do best in an environment with a lot of space to roam or in an active family. She is petrified of loud noise and would love a home that has the ability and resources to work with her and her anxiety. She has lived with other dogs, small children/babies, has never bitten, and is spayed.

Story
I’ve had my handsome boy since he was two months old. He’s almost 7 years old now. He’s a great dog, we just have such a busy schedule now that I cannot take care of him as properly as I would like. We have two small children that require a lot of attention. We also recently moved from a house to an apartment, and he is not adjusting well. He’s used to going in and out of the doggie door whenever he wants. He loves to be outside, despite the scorching heat. He has never been aggressive towards my kids, but he’s not necessarily fond of them. He usually tries to just walk away as to not be bothered. Also, the only dog he’s ever been around is my mothers, female, Rhodesian Ridgeback, so also a larger dog. I would not trust him with smaller dogs or cats. He definitely needs some where he can go in and out as he pleases, a family that loves him, can pay attention to him, play with him, and just take better care of him that I can.

Story
Heidi is a sweet and gorgeous girl who is looking for the perfect home for her. She was found as a stray in the heat of summer, and although all efforts were made to locate her owner, none was found. We don't know much about her past, but she tends to be unsure of new people and is especially leery of men. She warms up quickly and once she is comfortable with you, Heidi is affectionate, playful, cuddly, and extremely loving. She is submissive and respectful with other dogs and would love to have a doggy sibling in her forever home. She shows zero food aggression or resource guarding. Heidi is excited by cats and will chase them if they run, but the moment they stand up to her she is the one running! Heidi is a sweet and gentle soul, but she does best meeting new people in their home or in a neutral location. She is fearful and protective when new people enter her home and would do best in a house that does not have a lot of new people coming in and out. She would likely benefit from confidence building exercises with her new owner. Heidi does great on a leash and does well on short trips in the car. She gets a bit car sick on longer trips. Heidi got to go camping in Flagstaff with her foster family and had the best time! She loved hiking in the woods, smelling new smells, and splashing in the lake. Although she doesn't seem to be a fan of swimming, she does like getting in on the first step of the swimming pool, playing in sprinklers, and splashing in a kiddie pool. Heidi has three school age children in her foster home and is great with them. We do not know how she would do with younger children. She sleeps in a kennel at night but loves to snuggle on the bed with you if you let her. She is mostly potty trained but will have occasional accidents if not let out regularly. Heidi is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her perfect forever home. Her adoption fee is $300 through Living the Dream Rescue.September 22, 2023, 8:22 pm

Story
Biff is the sweetest boy, and has the bluest eyes.  He came to us from Tuba City after being found on the side of the road wondering with his brother.  Biff is very mellow, likes to play with toys, other dogs, and kittens that dare to cross his path.  He loves to run and play outside.  The vet thinks Biff is a Husky mix, with possible Border Collie mixed in so he could be a large dog.  Biff is neutered, current on his puppy vaccines, and microchipped.  His estimated birth date is 6/29/23 and his adoption fee is $350.September 22, 2023, 8:22 pm
