You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! My family dumped me at the shelter :(  I have no clue why.  I do everything I can to be the best dog ever.  I was REALLY scared and sad at the shelter so they sent me to this thing called a foster home and I did really good :)  No one came to adopt me and 2nd Chance said I could come live with them so now I live with my foster dad and my cat friend and life is good :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. If your looking for a young energetic dog that has more love to give and is house trained. I’m Tank. I love to play with balls or toys. Running is the best. I need a home that can walk me and spend time with me otherwise I like to get into things. I am microchipped and neutered. I get a little shaggy but I do great at the groomers for a haircut.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.12/8/25 Still available!  11/27/25 Chai is #8 of our 10 'Spice Pups.' Look at that face! Chai is the spokesperson for this litter. He loves to talk to us, especially when it's feeding time. He is bouncy and adorably playful, and energetic! This little guy is just precious and is full of personality! He will be so much fun for an active family. We dont know the breed of these puppies, they are all different, so there's probably more than 1 'daddy' involved. Mom is very mixed. Chai looks nothing like a husky, but that one blue eye combined with his vocal nature makes me think he might have some husky in there somewhere. He has a beautiful, slick, soft coat. Chai is in the middle size wise, at about 8-9 lbs with a slender build. He will likely be around 50 lbs when grown, but this is just a guess based on his current size and build. He is precious and sweet and he is going to make a great addition to a family! He is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Currently 8 weeks old at the time of this post. Chai is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Skye is a 5 year old husky who needs a home where there is no small animals and lots of yard for exercise! Good girl just needs better home! She has seizures occasionally. Usually her eating anything other than dog food treats will set off her seizures. Uses diazepam after seizure. Is aggressive after seizure until medication kicks in. Needs someone experienced with this breed and seizures. Unfortunately cant afford her needs.

Thor is a 8 year old husky who needs a home where there is no small animals or children and lots of yard for exercise! He has anxiety during car rides and does not get along with most alpha dogs. Food territorial with other dogs. Unfortunately he currently has a left hip issue that he tolerates, Skin condition on his belly which is being treated and a left eye growth being treated as well. He needs someone who can afford these issues and know how to take care of a husky.
