Story
Location: Henrico, VA Thunder is a loving, people focused dog who bonds quickly with adults. He enjoys walks, time outside, and quiet moments with his humans. He is sensitive, eager to connect, and happiest when the world is calm and predictable. Training and Behavior He is learning crate training and doing well with it. He aims to please and responds well to encouragement. Like many young dogs, he is still figuring out how to handle new environments and busy spaces. At his first big holiday gathering he found the noise, movement, and toddlers a bit overwhelming. Social Life Thunder thrives with adults and older teens. He is not comfortable with young children, whose fast movements and unpredictable energy are stressful for him. He settles quickly once he feels safe and enjoys quiet companionship. Best Home Fit Thunder will shine in a calm home with adults or older teens. He will do best with structure, clear guidance, and a peaceful environment. In return you will get a loyal companion with a big heart and a gentle soul. He is ready for a home where he can feel secure, understood, and loved.

Story
Current Location: Frederick, MD Meet Snow. This stunning one year old Husky mix weighs about 37 lbs and is as beautiful as they come, with her all white coat and striking blue eyes. She turns heads everywhere she goes, but it is her quiet, thoughtful nature that makes her truly special. Snow is a gentle, slightly tentative girl who takes a little time to feel safe. She is not immediately trusting of new people or dogs, but her hesitation comes from uncertainty, not aggression. With a slow and thoughtful approach, she opens up beautifully. Once she settles in, you can see just how much love and loyalty she has to give. She has made great progress in her foster home and is now comfortable with the resident dogs after a careful introduction process. She shows no signs of resource guarding or dog aggression, but she will need adopters who are patient and committed to slow, respectful introductions, especially in a home with other pets. Taking the time to let her adjust at her own pace will make all the difference. Snow would do best in a home with a yard where she can run and explore. Like many husky mixes, she has energy to burn and a love for the outdoors. She also comes with the full husky experience, including a very generous amount of shedding, so regular grooming will be part of life with this beautiful girl. She is still growing in confidence and will thrive with a calm, steady home that gives her structure and reassurance. Familiarity with husky traits can be helpful, but what matters most is patience, consistency, and understanding. Snow is a diamond in the making. A little unsure at first, but with incredible potential to become a deeply devoted and loving companion. For the right home willing to give her the time she needs, she will absolutely shine.

Story
Hello Hello! My name is Clarice and I am looking for my furever home! I am a sweet girl who loovves my people and I`m hoping to find a nice comfy couch to land on. I do have some handling sensitivities so I ask that any kiddos in the home are 3 and older, since I sometimes use my mouth to play and to let you know when I`ve had enough! I may do well with another canine friend as long as they can handle my goofy personality along with going slow. I`m not sure how I feel about cats, but I am willing try with a dog savvy cat. In typical husky behavior, I am vocal and can be an escape artist, so I may not be the best for apartment living. Do I sound like a good fit for you? If so, come on down to meet me today! If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Siren is an incredibly loving, people-oriented Husky who forms deep bonds with her humans. Beneath her affectionate nature, she is a shy and sensitive girl who can take time to feel comfortable in new environments and with new people. Because of this, she will need a patient and understanding home that allows her to build confidence at her own pace.Siren does wonderfully with other dogs and must go to a home with a confident canine companion who can help guide her and show her the ropes. Having another dog around not only brings her comfort, but also helps her continue to come out of her shell.Due to her timid nature, Siren should be considered a potential flight risk, especially while she is still adjusting. A secure home environment and mindful handling will be essential to help keep her safe as she settles in.Once she feels comfortable, Siren’s personality truly shines. She loves toys, enjoys walks, and wants to be part of whatever her people are doing. For a Husky, she’s impressively good at relaxing during downtime—after she’s had her exercise, she’s happy to settle nearby and simply enjoy your company.Siren is the perfect mix of playful and peaceful, with just the right touch of classic Husky charm. She is affectionate, loyal, and incredibly sweet, and with the right support, she will blossom into a devoted companion.-- THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE AND AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY; APPLICATION REQUIRED FOR AN APPOINTMENT --The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Hi, I’m Balto! I’m a big, fluffy Alaskan Malamute with an even bigger personality and plenty to say about it! At around 9 years old, I’m a mature guy who still has lots of love to give and enjoys being part of the action. I like to use my voice to let you know when I’d like some attention—from you or even another dog nearby—because I really enjoy connection and companionship. I’m an overall happy boy who thrives on interaction, affection, and being included. If you’re looking for a loyal, larger-than-life companion with a loving heart and a little bit of that classic Malamute chatter, I might be your perfect match. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537
