Story
Violet came to us from a kill shelter with Diesel who has already been adopted. Violet has been waiting for a year now to find her family. She is so deserving and loving. Violet is a young, bouncy, happy girl, who is ready for family to love her. She could live with another male companion in the home but would also be just as happy being the only dog in the home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Violet is a sweet, affectionate, smaller girl at 60lbs. and approximately a year and a half old. She is looking for a family with a fenced in yard and no small animals please. *********************************** If you are interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please complete an application by cutting & pasting the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161 Or visit CHAAMP.org to access the Adoption/Foster link and learn about the process. https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don't have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence. A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you've completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes. ********************************* CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. ADOPTION FEES ~Senior dogs (8+ years old): $100.00 ~Adult dogs (2 years up to 8): $300.00 ~Puppies (6 months - 2 years): $350.00 ~Puppies under 6 months: $375 All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs. ********************************* We highly recommend the following links that you will need to cut and paste: Kathy Sdao’s SMART x 50 (Capture & Reward Good Behavior) https://babysafedogtraining.com/kathy-sdaos-smart-x-50-another-way-to-use-1000-treats/ Building Your Dog's Confidence by Victoria Stilwell (FREE Online Course) https://www.vsdogtrainingacademy.com/enroll/demo/ Shy Adopters Guide https://www.shelterdogplay.org/_files/ugd/7c885c_2f9fe1f87ea24376912b6e0b18e41998.pdf ********************************* CHAAMP is not a shelter and is run by 100% volunteers. Story
Gypsy is a stunning, high-energy, 2-year-old Siberian Husky mix with a zest for life that’s impossible to ignore. This beautiful girl was found as a stray, and heartbreakingly, no one ever came looking for her. But we know her story isn’t over - it’s just waiting for the right person to begin.Gypsy is incredibly lovable and bonds quickly with her people - once she chooses you, she’ll happily stay right by your side. She’d make an amazing hiking companion, always ready for the next adventure, and when the day is done, she transforms into a world-class cuddler.Because of her high energy level, Gypsy would do best in a home without little kids - she’s just a bit too enthusiastic and bouncy for tiny humans. A securely fenced yard would be ideal so she can run to her heart’s content, but if you’re committed to frequent walks and plenty of exercise, that works too!True to her Husky roots, she does have that classic “husky scream” - she has opinions and isn’t afraid to share them. And just like a typical Husky, if she sees an opportunity to escape, she’ll take it. She’ll need a secure home and an attentive family who understands the breed’s clever, adventurous nature. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving companion who will keep you active and fill your home with personality, Gypsy might just be your girl.

Story
5 year old male husky mix. Great with young kids. Very good and sweet dog. I have become very allergic to him and other animals. Looking for a good caring home for him. He is a super sweet and loving dog. He also fits in everywhere and makes himself at home. He shouldn’t have any issues getting used to a new home.

Story
Current Location: Sykesville, MD Meet Jade: The Tri-pod Beauty Who's All Fluffy Fun and Big Hugs! Jade is a stunning tri-pod girl with gorgeous fluffy fur and a personality that's pure joy! Don't let her missing leg fool you—this beautiful girl gets around like a champ and lives life at full speed with style and confidence. Playful Energy and Cozy Vibes Jade has that perfect medium energy balance. She'll play with other dogs for hours, romping and wrestling like there's no tomorrow. But when playtime's done? She's just as happy chewing on a bone or lounging around the house like the fluffy queen she is. She takes social cues from her canine friends, making her a great companion for homes with other dogs. Kid-Friendly Sweetheart Jade has done wonderfully with smaller kids! She's gentle, even when taking treats from their hands, showing her sweet and patient nature. She's the kind of dog who brings love and fun to a family environment. The Fun Stuff (and the "We're Working on It" Stuff) Jade LOVES food. Like, really loves it. She's working on her counter surfing skills and her fosters are showing her the all (three) paws on the ground rule. She also has a charming habit of standing up to give you the biggest hugs, which we're gently redirecting because not everyone can handle that level of affection! Besides her enthusiasm for snacks and the occasional cardboard shredding session (hey, everyone needs a hobby!), Jade has been a model houseguest. No accidents, no destruction, just pure, fluffy goodness. Outdoor Adventurer Jade has had zero potty accidents! She always goes to the back door and whines when nature calls. She walks beautifully on a leash and absolutely LOVES being outside in the cold. That fluffy coat was made for winter adventures, and she is here for every snowflake and chilly breeze! The Crate Situation Let's be honest: Jade is NOT a fan of the crate. She'll go in for meals like a good girl, but after that? She's DONE. Barking, whining - the whole performance. She'd do best in a home where crating isn't necessary or where her people are committed to making it a gradual, positive experience. Best Home Fit Jade would absolutely thrive in an active home with another playful dog to be her wrestling buddy, a fenced yard for outdoor fun, and a family ready to laugh at her antics while helping her polish her manners. She's great with kids, loves adventure, and is ready to bring endless entertainment and affection to the right home! If you're looking for a fluffy, fun, tri-pod superstar who will play hard, snuggle harder, and steal your heart (and maybe a sandwich if you're not careful), Jade is your girl! Apply today!
