Story
Hi everyone, I'm Beatrix. I lived my whole life being an item for sale by a breeder. I have only lived outside and didn't get to experience the love of a family or the warmth of a home. Finally, I'm free and am ready for what my new life has to offer! I am still nervous about the world, but my foster brother helps make sure I am comfortable exploring, he also lets me know that people aren't all scary and that it can be okay to trust them. I would do best in a home with another dog so I could continue to learn to navigate the world and keep growing more confident. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Beatrix, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/rescue/ and email us with questions: adopt@bfp.org. Location: San Francisco, CA

In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.2/24/24 Still available! 1/26/24 Introducing our beautiful Sheba! This stunning husky was found as a stray and has not been claimed. She had no identification and was not microchipped. So it's time to find her a new home! Our vet estimated that Sheba is about 1 year old. She has been brought up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm tested (negative!). Sheba is in a foster home with multiple other dogs of various sizes from tiny to large, cats, and elementary school age children and she has done very well with all of them. She is a calm, sweet natured dog who is very smart and easily trained. She does not jump up on people and is very well behaved. Sheba is housetrained as well. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Meet Mr Max 💙 This handsome blue-eyed boy is a three-year-old Husky. Mr Max was found as a stray by a wonderful family who made every attempt to find his owners. Unfortunately, he was not microchipped, was not neutered and had Heartworms. Max is completely healthy now and is finally ready for his forever family. 🎉 Max is an awesome dog and he definitely has a lot of Husky characteristics. He is very smart and very headstrong in true Husky fashion. Max loves to go for walks and is great on leash but he will let you know if you try to stop the walk before he is ready. He has been known to stage a complete sit-down and tell you all about it in his best Husky voice 😂. Max is an active, playful boy who also loves to snuggle in for belly rubs and pets. He makes quick friends with everyone he meets and is quite the charmer. 😍 Max would be great with older children and he is good with both dogs and cats. Max is house and crate trained. He likes to have his peeps with him and would not do well home alone for long periods of time.🐾 Max is an amazing pup who he needs someone with Husky experience that understands the breed. He is super smart and needs a confident owner who can keep him challenged and busy so he does not get into trouble 🎾🥏⚽️ Max also needs a secure fence and an active caretaker. He would love to be a hiking or running companion or maybe a fly ball or agility champion. 🏆 So if you know and love the breed and feel you would be the perfect family for Max then please fill out the application. Whoever is chosen as this guy’s forever family will be very lucky 🌈🍀🌈

Story
🖤SHILOH🐾 Gentle, handsome, senior husky 🐕 After years of neglect, he’s safe in rescue & getting the care he deserves. We were told that he formally belonged to a neighbor who used to keep him on a chain and never let him in. But recently he had let him go and said he did not want him anymore. Probably because, Shiloh had a tumor growing on his underside and he did not want to be responsible. He has finished his antibiotics and steroids, and the tumor has been removed. The good news is …. It isn’t cancerous!!! And his heart and lungs, and all other x-rays were clear 🖤 True to his breed, he is vocal and full of adorable personality. He greets every human with a soft “awoooo” and lots of cuteness😍 Good with other dogs, but doesn’t need any in his forever home. He’s a bit of a loner. 🤣 In search of a yard to sunbathe in, snacks & pets from people that love him, and the opportunity to live out his golden years how he deserves 💕 If you’re interested in adopting a settled, senior boy, please consider welcoming Shiloh into your home! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama, Pennsylvania and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rex is looking for his forever home. He was surrendered at just a mere 8 months old to One Dog at a Time ODAAT because of his severe separation anxiety. He was born in February 2018 and is a Husky, Terrier mix. A lot of people might have given up on Rex. He is deaf, suffered from severe separation anxiety, and had no training whatsoever. But the people at ODAAT believed he'd be a perfect candidate for their training partnership with a local prison, Rockview. Rex learned great basic commands while staying at the prison and a couple of really special ones. He is no longer in the program and is ready for his forever home. Because Rex is deaf, we truly feel he would require another pup to be able to live life to the fullest. Older children only. Rex is protective of his people. He is committed through and through with the person he bonds with. He will require a special family to be able to bring him to his full potential. Rex will not be able to be a social butterfly. If you're looking for a dog that will be a great companion, this is your boy! His best friends are Deitz, Vader and Dugan, three of our ODAAT rescue pups. So if you are in the market for an awesome pair, trio, or quad group... just let us know! Applications can be found at  www.onedogatatime.us.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 29, 2024, 4:04 pm
