Story
Hi! My name is Violet, and I am looking for a home. I am about 9 years old, and they say I am a mini-Aussie husky mix. I know LOTS of tricks! I can spin, twirl on my hind legs, sit pretty, speak and even tell you "I love you". I am a good girl also, and will sit, down and roll over on command. I do have a sensitive stomach and need a grain free diet, (my favorite is, Fromm) and like all Texans, I have allergies. My foster says a shot of Apoquel will take care of all my itches. My foster says I am really sweet too, but I need to be an only child, or the only female and no small animals. However, I do like two legged children past the toddle stage. I love long hikes and running with my human while they ride a bike. Lastly, I am scared of thunderstorms and fireworks, but trazadone helps calm my fears. If you think I might be a good fit for your family and would like to meet me, email us at; info@muttsandmittens.org.

Story
Sebastian, or Bash; as we call him, was found by a friend or a friend as a puppy in 2020. He has since lived with small dogs, cats and children with no issues. He is crate trained and used to being in a crate at night and when we are away. The person who brought him into our family is no longer taking care of him. I’ve done my best, but with a toddler at home and a new baby coming next month I just cannot take care of Bash anymore. He would do very well in a home with other dogs.

Story
We purchased River from a family who had two purebred huskies that had a litter, he was 8 weeks old. He has been the greatest dog and it is truly heartbreaking for us that we are considering rehoming him. He is loyal; he will never run away. He is well trained as we sent him away from two weeks to have him professionally trained so he does not beg and can be easily retrained not to leave your side walking. He can be walked without a leash and will not runaway. The issue we are facing with River is that he is protective around food therefore is not best suited for other dogs or young children. He is an alpha male and becomes possessive over food. People are another story. He is great with people. He is sweet with our children most of the time especially when we are outside and away from his food. We are willing to drive him to the right owner! He deserves the best home - someone that is active and loves spending time with nature would be the best fit for Riv.

Story
Zelda was a stray we took in last year. Birthday is 6/19/23, she loves her people, especially her kids, does well at the dog park & loves to tear cardboard boxes. She is a runner if she gets loose. Looking for a home with no other dogs or cats. My fiance just moved in and his dogs and Zelda do not get along. She is sweet, playful and gentle with her people. She does not like her paws touched if she does not trust you, but I clip her nails at home. She is scared of loud noises and busy areas. She loves long walks and running; she can also jump high. Her shots are current and she has heartworm meds through December. She is scheduled for spay on 8/18 with TCAP - Fort Worth location.

Story
Sky is very loving dog. She is a rescued Husky about 11 years old. She is very calm. Not the regular husky that breaks things so you don’t need to cage her ( I don’t think she is ever been caged). She knows how to sit and wait. She loves treats and to be petted. She doesn’t like to take baths at all! I feed her homemade cooked food but she will eat anything you give her. I can’t keep her. With the increase of cost of living I’ll need to move to smaller apartment and won’t be able to have her. She is a great companion and it breaks my heart to let her go.
