Mansfield, TX
Size

Details
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Rosie was adopted at Fort Worth North Animal Care and Adoption Campus at 4.5 months old. She is now about 8 months old and is a ball of energy. She loves to be pet and she requires a good amount of exercise per day. She cannot be left for a large amount of time without exercise. She is basic command trained with sit, stay, leave it, and crate. We just cannot find the time between work to give her the love and energy she needs. She is up to date on all vaccines and comes with a lot of toys, crate with cover, vest, leash, and collar. We want only the best of caretakers for her. She loves to play fetch with balls, sticks, etc. She needs work on not jumping on people or owners because she is so happy and thinks she is a tiny pup. She is calm after being let out for several minutes and can be great for a family seeking a high energy bundle of joy.

Belka is a sweet year old husky-akito mix looking for her forever home. She is an active girl and needs a lot of attention and exercise. She's not fond of other pets but gets along with people just fine. She's still learning and needs some extra training, but she knows sit, stay, and shake. She is learning leave it and is crate trained. She would be a lively addition to any family.

Story
I found this poor guy abandoned off the highway in Houston, Texas. I picked him up and he rode all the way back to Fort Worth with me without any issues. He was extremely malnourished and his fur was very patchy when I first found him. At the time, I thought he might be deaf because he didn’t react to much of anything. Now that he’s been with me for a while, it seems like he can hear—he just listens when he wants to. So far, he hasn’t responded to any name I’ve tried. I have three other dogs an Anatolian Shepherd (3 years old) and two pit mixes (7 and 12 years old) plus a kitten. He doesn’t really interact with any of them and mostly keeps to himself. If anything, he has a bit of a “lone wolf” personality. He does have a playful side and really loves his alligator and pizza stuffed toys. I really grew some feelings for this dog but sadly I can only have 3 dogs on my lease. He loves walks and enjoys 1 on 1 time with anybody.

Story
Meet Milo!Milo is a 45 pound, 7 year old Husky mix who will immediately steal your heart. He came to us from a shelter, where he was dropped off by his previous owner for developing glaucoma, which ultimately led to blindness. Milo’s disability doesn’t slow him down one bit! Most who come into contact with him don’t even notice he can’t see until it’s told to them. Calm-natured and gentle-mannered, this sweet boy makes friends easily with all humans. Milo is very well behaved, hardly ever barking and never engages in destructive behaviors. Milo will do just about anything for a good treat, and is very smart, making him easy to teach new tricks. He’ll be your loyal pal forever if given his favorites - peanut butter or beef marrow bones! Milo is low-energy, but does love to play with his human every now and again. Long walks and learning new tricks are among some of his favorite activities. Milo would do well in both a house or apartment building, as he is low-energy and rarely barks. He does love to spend time outdoors, so a fenced yard or balcony is a plus! Milo loves to be around his people, and enjoys all the snuggles he can get! However, Milo does just fine being left alone if needed and will happily greet you when you return. Milo is crate and house trained, and has not had an accident since being in our care. Though he is crate trained, his foster does not often crate him as he is calm and not destructive. Milo would need slow and proper introductions to other dogs in the home. He would need a friend who is low-medium energy and is patient with him, given his disability, which sometimes leads to him bumping into others/objects.Milo’s glaucoma requires daily eyedrops, which are necessary to prevent pain and disease progression. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
