Story
Hi, my name is Enzo! I am 4 years old, and 49lbs. I am expected be around 50-55lbs. I am a neutered male who is microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated. My adoption fee is $75. You could describe me by a few of these characteristics:Energy level- A quick jog would be fun!Affectionate- I'd rather be by myself. Strangers- With a proper introduction, I can warm up to most people. House Manners- I'm really polite in a house. Kids- I'd do well in a home with teenagers (13+)Dogs- I take a few minutes to warm to a new dog, but then we're besties!Cats- I don't know yet. I've never met a cat but I'm open to it with the proper introduction.Health- I have a clean bill of health!

Story
Star is fostered in CA. Star is great with dogs, but having energy can play excitedly and may not be a fit for puppies or elderly dogs. Star is a gorgeous girl with brains and energy to match! She might be blind, but that doesn’t slow her down at all. She navigates just fine and all the important things (food, sniffy walks, petting) don’t require sight. Star also had a couple of seizures, which the vet is calling idiopathic epilepsy since no other cause was found in testing, so she takes Keppra and that has prevented any more episodes. She has already learned a lot of words, including: focus, sit, step, and walking. Given her puppy energy level, she would love to be in a home with another dog her size or bigger and no small children or cats. Star *loves* meeting new people and dogs, exploring her environment, eating, walking, and snoozing in her crate or in the car. She is still learning to be the best dog, but she is a quick study. She needs a family experienced with Huskies or similar breeds who are willing to continue her education. If you are active and ready for an energetic beauty, contact us to learn more about Star! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

This is Benji a very beautiful shy/playful dog. I really love him, but unfortunately I can’t give him my own time because of work and it suck because he won’t grow up with much love and attention from me. I want to make sure I send him to good hands and the right adopter will take Benji for free.

Story
CHLOE'S DNA test came back 64% Husky, 24% Alaskan Malamute, 5% GSD and 4% Samoyed. She is 45 pounds, and we believe about 4 years old. She has a TYPICAL Husky personality! Except for the occasional "zoomies", she is calm and reserved. She is exceptionally smart, too. Not sure I've heard of many Huskies wanting to play "fetch", but she LOVES LOVES LOVES the ball! SOMEONE MUST LOVE HUSKIES AND THEIR PERSONALITY!! PREVIOUS HUSKY OWNERSHIP REQUIRED. If you've never had a Husky, you might not understand the complete love some of us have for the breed, even with their sometimes challenging traits. Chloe's history is very heartbreaking and worse than most. But like most dogs, her resilience has seen her through. She has finished her heartworm treatment and will be available to adopt in the next month or so. To learn more about Chloe and ask about adopting her, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
Maui is a sweet and friendly dog who is always eager to meet new people and loves getting pets!Reason for foster: Awaiting Specialist Appointment and Heartworm Positive Foster Time Frame: 4 Weeks Foster Care Plan: Maui is awaiting a specialist appointment to address his rear limb issues. It is suspected that he had a previous pelvic injury. Maui is also heartworm positive and will go home with medication in preparation for his upcoming heartworm treatments. Maui will have regular rechecks with the medical team. Maui will need to be monitored while he is outside to ensure that he does not overheat. He will also need to have his activity limited and should avoid running, jumping, and playing with other dogs. He has been approved for short leash walks only. When walking on slick surfaces, Maui will have traction boots to wear to ensure he does not slip. We will provide a medical consultation at pickup so that you are prepared to take great care of this sweet boy. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Maui. We can schedule a pickup and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/
