Story
We adopted Kira on April 17th. My wife started to have an allergic reaction once we arrived home. She cares a lot for Kira so she decided to take allergy medication & see if she could live with this arrangement. However, we talked & came down to the difficult decision that Kira is best to be in a home where her future family doesn't have allergy problems. We have absolutely no complaints about Kira, she is a great dog. Since day one she went straight into the crate & has no issues being in there. She knows to potty outside; we have been training her so she wouldn't go in the house. She does well on car rides. Does well on walks; when she sees other animals (dogs, cats, birds) she just stares curiously. At the groomers she got along with the staff, let's herself be groomed, & interacted well with all the other dogs in the yard. Knows words like crate, paw, potty, sit. She'll give paw if you ask but if she wants extra cuddles she taps you with her hand. Also, she weights about 42lbs.

Story
This “Mr Blue Eyes” is Apollo, named by his Good Samaritan finder (but he does not really respond to it). Finder tried to find his people and considered keeping him but he is a bit resource guarding and did not get along with their dog so he became a Ninja. Apollo is about 2 years old, the perfect mid-sized dog at about 50-52 lean pounds. His rear legs are very muscular and he has the funniest prance when he trots. We suspect he’s at least part Husky (bright blue eyes, energy level, desire to “GO”) so he needs a yard with a tall, secure fence or he will bolt. As seen in the video, he is working on his leash skills but we think he would make a great hiking/jogging buddy so long as he stays on leash. Apollo loves people and is a leaner, meaning he will lean against you to show his affection. Because of his energy level and resource guarding, no children under 8 and any house mate needs to respect his space at feeding time and if he has toys. For those reasons too, we think he would do better as the only dog. Speaking if his icy, blue eyes, it’s hard to get a good photo of him but he is stunning in person. He is a head-turner for sure so if aesthetics is important to you, Apollo is your guy. Apollo’s adoption fee is $200. He is fully vetted and microchipped so if you would like to meet him, submit your application as meet & greets are scheduled only after an application has been processed. If a forever-relationship is not what your after, consider fostering Apollo so he can get used to living in a home again.

Story
Meet Hayden! He is one in a million when it comes to Huskys. Loves to be around his person or playing with all his fur friends. Hayden was found crossing a rural road in Texas and almost hit. Once safely in the care of one of our fosters he quickly became one of our favorites. Hayden would love a home with an active family and a fur friend to play with. He is house, crate and kennel trained. He loves to go for walks and will gladly join you on adventures, especially car rides. After some extensive training, Hayden can now run with poultry. If you are interested in Hayden joining your family, please complete the adoption application, www.TexasACR.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Our passion is centered around assisting animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are a foster-based rescue consisting of 100% volunteers.
